I’m listening on the radio and Ron isn’t on today. Pat says that Ron is “at home resting” and emphasized there’s nothing wrong.
Also said Ron was back home listening to the broadcast in full uniform.

It wasn’t game by game – it look a dive all of a sudden, like they went back any gave someone an error in a previous game and that lead to more ‘unearned’ runs. Anyone know? It’s shows 2.95 somehow now.

Missouri Tigers 2008 Cotton Bowl Champs
I also lack expertise
but I do know that the official scorer is usually a reporter sitting in the press box. This is another one of those baseball traditions passed on for generations…..and it’s a little weird.
My next sig line quote will also be from Lou Piniella, and the first word will be either "Look", or "Listen", followed by a comma.
one ball, two strikes
I suspect Marquis is swinging away
Since the guess-hack hitter's return
the team is 16-5. “Everything falls into place with Soriano leading off ballgames.”

I had wondered what the stats were
"We've had our ups and downs, but as long as you have a reason, something to fall back on and a plan, that's all there is to it," Soto said.

Morton's made 47 pitches to get 4 outs....
let’s take some more
Sori swing and miss, 2 outs
Is that really a Hatori Hansu bat?
6000-8000 fans Pat thinks are in the stands

Mr. Morton is the subject of my sentence...and what the predicate says, he does.

Look at all those empty seats
masquerading as fans
Is that really a Hatori Hansu bat?
And from Gamecast
that pitch he grounded out on appeared well off the outside corner….
out at first, inning over
Is that really a Hatori Hansu bat?
Okay, Marquis
don’t turn around and give any of that scoring back to Atlanta.
Dome is starting to irritate me

No excuse batting Dome 2nd
None. Lou, come to your senses and bury him 8th. Batting him higher doesn’t instill confidence but simply adds to pressure. The guy hasn’t hit a ball hard in 6 weeks.

It was an okay idea for this game
Lets get Theriot back up there and bury Dome in the 8 spot unless Blanco is starting.

Do you think the Braves will sacrifice him
And this game if we score a few more by leaving him in to save the pen?

Somewhat interesting stat
on the Braves’ feed: Kosuke is tied for the NL lead (with Aramis) in the category of 2-strike hits, with 58.
My next sig line quote will also be from Lou Piniella, and the first word will be either "Look", or "Listen", followed by a comma.
Lets see if this is
the typical Marquis, who likes to give up runs after getting a lead….. Hold em!

How sad seeing
all those empty seats.
Good luck Shawn Johnson, Lolo Jones and Doug Schwab. Bring home the gold!!!
Sadly, that's Braves baseball for you
At the end of their divion-winning streak, they wouldn’t even sell out the playoffs until a game or two into the NLCS.
A great park, a great town, a great team. The team deserves better (well, did)

The Dome numbers Len and Bob keep rolling out there are useless
Oh, well Dome is still batting .300 at home. Yay. How long are they going to whip that stat out? How about 6 RBIs in his last 27 games? That projects nicely to a sub-40 RBI season

When an official box score is changed like that 7/12 game with Marmol...
...is that tracked online somewhere? I see the updated box score, but no mention of the actual change or why it was made, who was charged with the error, etc.
Wait a minute... who am I here?

I guess it bothers them they don’t have any fans in the stadium.
