Madison BCB get together
I had posted earlier in the week to see if there was any interest in a BCB together. There did seem to be some interest in doing an August game.
A friend of mine and me are planning on going to Old Chicago Sunday. I will be in the Geo jersey and pink baseball cap.
Where: Old Chicago 7202 Mineral Point Rd (across from West Towne Mall)
When: August 17th noon game time
Hope to see some fellow BCB'ers there

Would it work better for people if we cancelled this and did it in September?

September works better for me
But don’t let that stop you from gathering on sunday. Any size gathering of Cubs fans is good!

I agree,
I think any group of Cubs fans together is good. We can always have another gathering in September(or several!)
I’ll try to make it on Sunday, but since it’s off campus I might have trouble getting there.

not being a college student didnt even think about that
I purposely didnt pick downtown b/c I know it’s turnover time this next week.

no worries
off-campus might be easier during the year because of public transportation, but I am arriving on campus on Sunday, so it could be tricky timing-wise

any possible ideas for Sept?
not looking at the schedule, do we have any prospective Saturdays or Sundays where we could all meet?

I'm going to be at the Cubs-Cards game on the 20th
And that weekend is generally not good (in-laws in town). Saturday the 6th is also out, but sundays are good.

Sounds too much like someone we don’t discuss here.

Ha! I never have time to sit down and watch a game either...
But I follow the team online voraciously. That said, I think I’d try to make it out to a Madison getogether whenever and wherever works for most. My added preference would be if it were a game only being broadcast on EI or ESPN since I get WGN at home already. Does old Chicago have the EI package?

I dont think they have EI but I can check to be sure.
Is this something that people like to plan a couple weeks in advance? Likely it should be planned around football.
ps I am sure happy to not be moving today. I had an appt on Monroe St. and what a mess.
