Back before the All-Star Break, I made a prediction: that the 2008 Chicago Cubs would be 8-10 games up on the second-place team by the middle of August. I said that if they weren't 8-10 games up, I'd donate $20 to Project 3000.
Well, my prediction has not come true. The Cubs struggled coming out of the break, while the Suds have been pretty strong (except for when we swept them, heh-heh-heh) and have only really been able to maintain their lead at 4.5 games.
Time to pony up.
