that's the farthest I've seen Dome hit a ball

in 2 months. Bench time. I don’t care if he is making hard outs, but it is soft choppers, strikeouts and lame flyballs every time. That effort was pathetic. Even his RBI hit last night was a fortunate dribbler up the middle

The thought process with Dome and Howry is the same

Pinella knows that if these guys can get it back they will have a huge advantage in the post season than if they just give up on both. I was one (full disclosure) who thought Fontenot was awful earlier this year offensively and defensively, and of course now I think he is rocking the house. That may happen with Dome too, but there just haven’t been any signs of life for so long (like Howry) it is hard to see a turnaround this year at least
