Let's make some more history, boys!!!

Who's gonna be my bestest pal
and do PxP tonight? No radio or TV for me until after 8.
One day I hope to come up with something worthy of this space.
Make it 9 series in a row !!
Go Cubs !!

This would be the 9th series win in a row
starting with the sweep of the Brewers. We lost the previous series to the Marlins.
"I don’t believe that things go your way," said Lou Piniella, the Cubs manager.
"I believe you make things go your way."
To give you an idea
Just how poor the Pirates are as an MLB Francise….
They dont have banners from thier World Series victories.
They have a banner for an All-Star game they hosted 3 years ago.
"I guess you had some lean years, and didnt have to beat it hard" - Craig Sager
"Soriano deep to left!! THAT BALL'S GOOOONE!! A HOME RUN!! OHHH BABY!!" -Len Kasper 8/06/08
SORIANO WATCH: AVG: .286 22 HR 62 RBI
hey guys...
If we go to 32 over tonight…when was the last time the cubs were there.
They only got to 31 over in 84 I think…
Quoth Al
More history: the Cubs are 31 games over .500 for the first time since September 30, 1984, the last day of that regular season; they finished 1984 at 96-65. Their peak that year was 32 games over, at 90-58 on September 15. Before that, the last time the Cubs were 32 games over .500 was on September 2, 1969, at 84-52.
