starting with the sweep of the Brewers. We lost the previous series to the Marlins.

To give you an idea

Just how poor the Pirates are as an MLB Francise….

They dont have banners from thier World Series victories.

They have a banner for an All-Star game they hosted 3 years ago.

If we go to 32 over tonight…when was the last time the cubs were there.

They only got to 31 over in 84 I think…

Quoth Al

More history: the Cubs are 31 games over .500 for the first time since September 30, 1984, the last day of that regular season; they finished 1984 at 96-65. Their peak that year was 32 games over, at 90-58 on September 15. Before that, the last time the Cubs were 32 games over .500 was on September 2, 1969, at 84-52.

Not necessarily, Soto set up down the middle and Zambrano's two seam got away from him and darted WAY in.

I don’t see how it’s Soto’s fault that Zambrano couldn’t hit the spot. Yes, it’s a passed ball, but it doesn’t help your catcher when the pitcher crosses you up.

Cubs By The Numbers

Cubs By The Numbers is a history of the ballclub by uniform number, but the biographies help trace the history of our beloved team in a new way. For everyone who's a Cubs fan, anyone who ever wore the uniform is like family. Cubs By The Numbers reintroduces readers to some of their long-lost ancestors, even ones they think they already know.
