Andy LaRoche's suckitude reminds me of a young

Kevin Orie….ahh memories

The critical thing to understand is that major-league pitchers don't appear to have the ability to prevent hits on balls in play. There are many possible reasons why this is the case, and I don't really have a concrete idea as to why it is.

But the one thing I do know is that it is the case.

Orie Would've Been Fine

If Jeff Pentland didn’t screw with his swing and destroy all his confidence.

He has the mental approach of a 6 year old

"This is why Major League Baseball does not need instant replay, because then every single play will then be reviewed." -- Joe Morgan, 5/18/08, referring to an umpire ruling a Carlos Delgado homerun foul when replays showed it hit the foul pole.

Judgemental much?

Let me just remind everyone how GOOD this team is...

we are FLAT tonight, we scored 12 last night (with 17 hits), yet we are only down by one after spotting this team a snowman (8).

I Hear Ya, Captain Carl

But it’s the Vince Lombardi in me having zero tolerance for a mistake-filled, less-than-intense effort.

Why not Marshall???

Need to keep him in case of Extras

Stick him in instead of Cotts for 2 or 3 innings....

and that might be a moot point.

You know, this has turned out to be quite a crazy game!

And I’m enjoying it quite a bit!

I don’t understand all the angst. This is great entertainment and in my opinion, a lot of fun!

The Cubs are in 1st place and at this moment, have the best record in baseball!

Hey, it's a new century!

Milwaukee Keeps Winning

If they weren’t as close as they are to the Cubs, then I’d be less worried.

i think its just being a cubs fan

every thing hurts, good or bad. the team hasnt been this good in the lifetime of most people on this site, but still we live and die by the ups and downs of this team. we live for the heartache….so sometimes we look extra hard for it =)
i dont think anyone is throwing in the towel on the cubbies. at least, i hope not.

too much history

for a cubs fan to change instantly. do you know how many people are still expecting the bottom to fall out because thats what they’re used to?? we just dont know how to handle success!
