Show Us Your BCB T-Shirt

I ran this idea by Al, and he liked it. I thought I'd be fun to get folks to upload pictures of them in their BCB t-shirt. It gives more exposure to Project 3000 and is also a fun way to share who we are.

Al noted "It would be especially cool if people who don't live in Chicago would take the photo at a recognizable location in wherever they live. If you do this, remind people that it's just for fun -- I know some are sensitive about privacy, but if anyone is willing to post a pic like this, it'd be great."

So let's see it, BCB pride!

(p.s. if you all like the idea, recommend this FanShot... it will keep the exposure up and give folks who want to participate time to upload there photo.)

(p.s.s. Order your BCB/Project 3000 t-shirt here)

Well done.

Once I get some photos back, I’ll have mine up there.

FLICKR GROUP

It’s been discussed here and there so I took the liberty and finally went ahead and created a Flickr group for us. I hope I’m not steppin on any toes (ouch). Hopefully the link below can direct you to the Flickr page. I’ve also posted this threads’ link on Flickr to direct peeps back here as well. This way, you can post to whichever is easiest for you and it ties the two together.

In case you have never used or been on Flickr, it’s tied to Yahoo so you’re login ID will grant you access though you do not need a Yahoo ID to simply look around. Our new Bleed Cubbie Blue Flickr Group will make it easy to post pics/video or have a discussion on anything. You can also comment on individual pics/videos much like you can on Myspace/Facebook.

Finally, since I created it I’m currently the “Admin” however I would be more than happy to make anyone interested an Admin or Moderator as well. There are currently no restrictions so feel free to join up and or let me know if you have any issues joining.

OK, I'm in.

My Flickr account is criminally underused, so I may not have much to contribute right away. But I’ll try to find a few things to toss in there. Cool pics so far, Tony!

Yes, sir!

I have a photo up now at the flickr site (me in my BCB shirt at a really bizarre location)....

but I can’t figure out how to get the URL pasted up here so that it will display here. I tried the cut and paste routine, but the program here won’t let me paste it in. Can someone explain to me how to do it?

once you upload the image in Flickr, copy the image location (i.e. http://www.flickr.com/imagename.jpg ) and then paste that image URL into the pop-up box BCB gives you when adding an image to a post.

that help?

by digitalbenjamin on Sep 4, 2008 11:15 AM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I tried that....

When I try to hit the “edit” thing on my toolbar, after having clicked on the “image” thing on the BCB comment screen, so that I can paste in the URL, it won’t let me. It insists that I type in the whole URL. Am I doing something wrong?

the tree...

then paste the image url into the box

by digitalbenjamin on Sep 4, 2008 1:45 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Thanks for the help but though I can copy the URL from Flickr...

my software won’t let me paste it in when I click on the tree. When I click on the tree, I get a little screen that invites me to paste it in, but when I click on “Edit” to get to the paste option, the software won’t respond. It simply won’t give me the drop down menu that would give me the paste option.

Sorry to be so ignorant but thanks for the help.

Actually, when linking an image from Flickr...

…you should NOT use the “tree” button. In Flickr, just go to the “all sizes” button above the image, copy the HTML provided and paste it into a comment window. Then hit “preview” to make sure it’s there and then just hit “post.”

Yep, that's it.

That’s me in Goblin Valley, Utah. I’ve got another shot of me in my BCB shirt in a bizarre place, but I can’t find it right now. I’ll post it this weekend, when I get home from my trip.

I keep clicking on the Tree to paste in the URL, and I get a little screen that invites me to put the URL in. But whenever I click on “Edit” in the toolbar, it won’t respond. Is there another way to paste in the URL other than using the “Edit” selection on the toolbar?

have you tried Control-V?

not sure what you mean by the edit function… I copy the URL by Control-C then paste it in the URL box with Control-V… no edit function or tool bar involved.

Let me try it again, Emelie. If it works, thanks so much.

This is me wearing my BCB tee shirt with Sleeping Ute Mountain (in southwest Colorado) in the background.

I click on the tree

then paste the URL into the box that pops up.

Thanks!

I will post it as a fanshot… on the way home, I was thinking that I shouldn’t wash the shirt and wear it A LOT come playoff time.
