Switching back and forth between
Obama and the Cubs.
Ever since Obama started speaking, the Cubs woke up and put a beating on the Phils bullpen

4 straight, the Brewers have had an 8 and a 5 game winning streak. And they’ve lost 1 1/2 games in the standings. That has to hurt.

Yes Sir
I loved how the Cubs started playing all inspired as soon as the speech began…they must have had it on in the clubhouse.

No kidding
If I knew the Cubs were inspired by an empty suit, I’d watch all the games in my closet.

This team amazes me
I get a series of texts about ARAM and then that the game is won. My first thought was I cant wait for Al’s recap.

Wow.
I think I’ve rewound that inning 5 times now, each time getting the same goofy grin on my face when Ramirez hits the grand slam.
What a special season.

Holy Cow!
I just had to post my experience from this evening. I watched the first part of the game here at home. Oregon State (my boys) kicked off the football season tonight so I went to the bar to watch the first half. Then all of a sudden the text messages started in on my phone. These are not cub fans but just friends that know I am a cubs fan and I have been talking up how important this series is. I got 10 texts in 2 min and I just knew what happened and who did it. Al is right and it is just starting to sink in. Remember where you were and what you are doing… This team is something special! WOW

Goosebumps...
….I’ve seen about 6 replays of that Rami homer where they show the fans behind the dugout. Most have their arms up, but when it actually lands, TONS of people are just jumping up and down like crazy. Gives me goosebumps every single time.
Man, what a great win.

Aramis Ramirez
deserves to be in the same discussion as any top clutch hitter in baseball: Ortiz, Manny, A-Rod, Pujols. I think he’s the most underrated guy in this league, if not the entire Majors.

Quote from Olney:
Rami now has 25 RBIs 7th inning or later… highest in the majors.
Aramis is clutch and so unbelievably underrated.

This may be blasphemy
but I think Ramirez is better than Santo was. And I’ve seen them both from Santo’s rookie year to now.

Not disagreeing with you
Ron spent 15 seasons with the Cubbies.
This is A-Ram’s 5 1/2 (counting a full 2008 season).
Ron was 4th in ROY and MVP votes of 4, 5, 8, 8, and higher a few times. A-Ram’s been 10, 13, and 17.
I hope he’s just like Ron, in fact.

Aramis Ramirez for MVP
He is making his move at just the right time…
Seriously, he has been lights out lately, and jumped up to join the league RBI leaders.
