I was feeling all sorry for myself
thinking we were going to lose. I should know to never count this team out.
i think it's hilarious
when a cub does a pre-game interview with pat and ron, he gets a walgreens gift certificate. i’m sure that just reels the cubs right in.

Since the Cubs beat the Brewers
4 straight, the Brewers have had an 8 and a 5 game winning streak. And they’ve lost 1 1/2 games in the standings. That has to hurt.
It doesn't matter
really… If the Cubs and Brewers each take care of their own business they’ll both be in the playoffs.
Long days and pleasant nights.

I get a series of texts about ARAM and then that the game is won. My first thought was I cant wait for Al’s recap.

Holy Cow!
I just had to post my experience from this evening. I watched the first part of the game here at home. Oregon State (my boys) kicked off the football season tonight so I went to the bar to watch the first half. Then all of a sudden the text messages started in on my phone. These are not cub fans but just friends that know I am a cubs fan and I have been talking up how important this series is. I got 10 texts in 2 min and I just knew what happened and who did it. Al is right and it is just starting to sink in. Remember where you were and what you are doing… This team is something special! WOW
Goosebumps...
….I’ve seen about 6 replays of that Rami homer where they show the fans behind the dugout. Most have their arms up, but when it actually lands, TONS of people are just jumping up and down like crazy. Gives me goosebumps every single time.
Man, what a great win.

Aramis Ramirez
deserves to be in the same discussion as any top clutch hitter in baseball: Ortiz, Manny, A-Rod, Pujols. I think he’s the most underrated guy in this league, if not the entire Majors.

Quote from Olney:
Rami now has 25 RBIs 7th inning or later… highest in the majors.
Aramis is clutch and so unbelievably underrated.

This may be blasphemy
but I think Ramirez is better than Santo was. And I’ve seen them both from Santo’s rookie year to now.
Not disagreeing with you
Ron spent 15 seasons with the Cubbies.
This is A-Ram’s 5 1/2 (counting a full 2008 season).
Ron was 4th in ROY and MVP votes of 4, 5, 8, 8, and higher a few times. A-Ram’s been 10, 13, and 17.
I hope he’s just like Ron, in fact.
