I dont mind the Pirates at all. I wish their ownership would allow them to become more competitive though.
The pirate ownership scammed the taxpayers into building a new stadium,
and then continues to be cheap by not signing the best available players in the draft and keeping their own good players that they develop. This is definitely bad for baseball.

Is par for the course these days. Even if there’s a pretense of private funding, the owners get ginormous tax breaks and other deals from the local government, which takes the taxpayer money as well, just not as prominently
