Yup...
As I said at the end of the last thread. He’s one bad pitch short of a pretty solid outing. That 0-2 pitch to Lee was a big mistake, and completely changed the outcome of his performance.
And if Edmonds doesn't lose that ball near the track,
he may not have given up anything at all.
This is the worst defensive game the Cubs have played since the ASB, and Jason is their most defense-dependent pitcher. Not good, but I think these guys can really use their day off.

Win as a team, lose as a team
and KICK BUTT as a TEAM
Love this team!
"Every team will win 60 games, every team will lose 60 games, it's what the team does in the other 42 games that decides the season."
and perhaps a different outcome if Edmonds catches that flyball
"Every team will win 60 games, every team will lose 60 games, it's what the team does in the other 42 games that decides the season."
Yeppers.

’’If somebody had told me we were going to lose Soriano for eight weeks, lose [Carlos] Zambrano and Kerry Wood for a couple of weeks apiece, and then at the same time lose [Reed] Johnson, and then when we played the American League not have a DH [then-injured Daryle Ward], and be in first place by two games, I’d tell you we were pretty fortunate.’’ Lou Piniella (7/23/08)
