Just to clarify for everyone...

I saw this once before. Because a manager does not have to pull a pitcher on his first visit, he can double-switch after talking to his pitcher IF he signals a double-switch to the HP ump before waving to the bullpen.

I’m confused.

Proud recipient of a hot dog shot from the Iowa Cubs hot dog gun.

by IowaCubs- on Aug 6, 2008 3:54 PM CDT up reply actions

Here's what happened...

1. Lou went to the mound. Jason appeared to agree that he was done.
2. Lou turned to the HP ump to signal for a double-switch.
3. The ump acknowledged it.
4. Lou signaled to the bullpen.
5. Lou and the ump met half-way to record the changes.
6. Lou signaled to Edmonds to come out.

Where is Northsider to do the PBP for me?

sounds right...

...but on the 2nd visit he needs to signal before crossing into the field of play, because the 2nd visit requires the manager to remove the pitcher.

NO...this is the 1899 team....not the 1898 team.

The best they could do is bring Jim Hughey or Charlie Knepper in…but if we make it a laugher…we’ll probably get to see Harry Colliflower in the mop up role.

That's like the faux TB thread earlier this year.

I believe Murton hit some HRs through the roof of the Trop.
