That was a well pitched game
by both sides. A real good ball game. Closest the Cards can get to us by the end of this series is five games. That’s huge. Let’s push ‘em back 8 games tomorrow. Nice job by the entire pitching staff today. That’s what there’s going to need in the post season. Excellent, excellent game today!
One day, the dream will come true.
Yep...just have to hope that the nats got a win or two in them

I am living in Israel now and follwoing the season via Bleedcubbie blue as well as other websites and the game was televised live here on the Fox feed.
Of cousre, it happened to be Al H and the Cardinals Fox feed.
They were fair – they talked about hte ridiculous strike zone for everyone during the game.
It was fun hearing the Goose talk with Al ; but I wish I was listening to Santo..
Good way to kick the weekend off. Have a good one everyone. Dont think the cubs were lucky to win although the cards were unlucky not to win. But this is the cubs this season. They make their own luck and they execute. Patience. And good fundamentals.

why did Lou put Marmol in? or is Wood now in the closer spot again?
I haz blurg: hotbeans.wordpress.com
My Guess..
If we would have taken the lead in the 8th, Marmol would have trotted out for the 9th. Wood is not ready yet…needs one more game before assuming the closer duties….I think
