So now what are we going to talk about for the next 5 hours?

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been . . . baseball.

Astros

Ive wondered this since the re-alignment but can we get these guys shipped to the AL west where they belong?

I always thought it should have been

NL Central – Cubs, Cardinals, Reds, Pirates, Brewers
AL West – Mariners, Angels, Rangers, A’s, Astros

Gives you 5 in every division and 15 in both leagues. I hear that this would really eff things up when it comes to the schedule and uneven amounts of teams in a league but with interleague play it should be something easily worked around.

Wouldn't There Need To Be An Interleague Game Every Day?

Yes or it would take another 6 weeks to schedule everone for 162 games/

Exactly

To avoid that, there has to be an unbalanced number of teams in each league.

I think you mean there has to be an even number of teams in each league

to avoid having someone with an off day everyday

Indeed

Thanks for clarifying my very-unclear post.

with all the things wrong

with the game (DH, All-Star game counting, small market v. big budget) having an interleague game everyday doesn’t seem like that big of a deal.

by Gleebo on Sep 1, 2008 6:02 PM CDT up reply actions

Like I said

I heard it would mess things up but…im no math genius.

by Gleebo on Sep 1, 2008 6:01 PM CDT up reply actions

I Would Prefer An Even Number of Clubs Per League Too

So you’d either have to contract two or add two more.

Sorry it has

white creamy frosting with drops of chocolate. Yummy!!!!

Just let those two teams play each other 162 times per year

the press in NY would never know the difference

NY Media

I thought there were only three buttons on all keyboards in NYC…… ones that say

Yankees are the greatest
Red Sox suck
Didn’t we ship that other NY team to California….like twice?

History was made today..

this has to be the fewest amount of posts in a overflow thread..

I'm a reader not a poster, but I'm also a poster so don't get any ideas.
