Hello everyone!
I’m cooking up a chicken parmigiana storm and happy to see the game is going well! Let’s keep it rollin!
Let's win this one for Ronny!
Why? Because sometimes I just get pissed that he’s not already in the Hall of Fame.

without a doubt should be in HOF.

I believe he was 7 votes short, then 5 votes short…so with Ryno in the HOF now…maybe it’ll be enough!

I still find it fascinating that this Houston team
is 13 games over .500 and would be leading the NL West. Granted, the West sucks, but this Houston team is the most convoluted mish-mash of old, cranky players (Erstad), guys in their prime (Lance, Roy), and young dudes (Bourn). And I seem to know no more than 35% of their pitchers – just about every game they throw out someone I’ve never even heard of.

Interesting note by the Astros TV crew
They mentioned that many of the Astros stayed at Minute Maid during the Hurricane…had a generator, big screen TV, air conditioning, food, etc…
And I thought the whole time from the Astros fans that the club needed their players to be home to TAKE CARE OF THEIR FAMILY AT THEIR HOUSES???
As I mentioned on the Houston Chronicle blog that had a bunch of Astros fans crying about how the MLB could take the players away from their families with a move to Milwaukee for this series 3 days ago….most of the players families aren’t even in Houston!!!!!
Do we know how many
Astros actually live in Houston?
Look, I’m as upset about the weirdness in the schedule as the next guy (although I think that the extra day of rest is good for us, and I think it’s being proved out here) but it’s not the Astros PLAYERS who are at fault here.

The Astros fans need to tell it like it is….it sucks for them and quite honestly I am rooting for them to beat out the Phillies and Brewers for the Wildcard….
But tell it like it is….not make up crap….the fans….not the players…
I really don't know why so many Cubs fans are frustrated by this.
The Cubs got:
- An extra day off.
- A chance to realign their rotation.
- Two road games moved to a neutral site.
- To watch the Brewers flame out from their own clubhouse.
Given the situation, the Cubs have made out as well – or better – than you could reasonably ask for. It’s really unfair.
and they don't have to play a doubleheader

Announcers are announcers
They aren’t on the team and they aren’t fans. They shouldn’t have to abide by ridiculous superstitions. Their job is to inform the fans, who may not have been watching the whole time, and who may not be very observant, what’s going on. That means occasionally mentioning a no-hitter in progress once the game gets late, though harping on it would be obnoxious.
(Not watching on TV and don’t know precisely what Len is saying, though)
