EI is always blacked out on Sunday nights.

It’s an ESPN exclusive. Only local broadcasts allowed in games not carried on ESPN Sunday nights.

The game is on MLB.TV, though. A 1 day pass costs approximately $8.

by Fraggin Judge on Sep 14, 2008 9:07 PM CDT up reply actions

Really....wow!

I bought it last year and there were so many blackouts I just got the radio for this year…..I guess things ain’t changed.

If the…..er……current situation with Z holds up into the 9th. they might make the video available via MLB.COM – they did that in a similar sitch earlier this year……small consolation, I know…..I’m audio-only, too.

Bad Karma for Drayton McLayne. (spell may be incorrect) Ike was hitting Houston, and he was still pleading the game be played there. I don’t swear very much, but this guy is a major asshole. The city’s getting pummelled, and all this guy can think about is his box office.

First No-No of my Cubs fandom and life. Way to go, Z! I actually had just remarked that I was surprised he hadn’t had one of these, just a week ago. So happy with the Cubs now!

Lou post-game quotes, as I'm listening to them (trying to quote verbatim):

“He had everything going, from the first few pitches of the ballgame.”

“Just a great game.”

“You know, we needed this. We’ve been struggling, we’ve been struggling.”

“You know, you don’t expect it. You wanna see him throw the ball well…but you don’t expect a masterpiece like this though.”

(Reporter asks about electricity of crowd)

“What was the attendance?” “23.” “23? They [fans] seemed electric.”
