ZamZilla Strikes Again! No-Hitter!

WOW! I cannot believe it. I have been so busy for the last month or so, that I haven't been able to watch any Cubs games. I've seen a few highlights here and there, and always checked BCB to see scores and to keep up with everything... but tonight, I dropped everything I was doing just to watch the game. I didnt even know Z was pitching... I tuned in at the 4th inning and watched it from there. Wow... the Cubs needed this and Z just showed why he is a leader on this team. This IS the season, there is no doubt about it now.

Did anybody get to see this game? What was your thoughts on it?

I do wish I could hear Santo calling the last inning! Is it on the net anywhere?

Indeed!

The “Return of Z” is going to be one of those great stories they are going to put on the official MLB DVD of the Cubbies historic season! You know…, after they win THIS YEARS WORLD SERIES! YAHOOOOOO!!!!!

Yeah, Santo and Pat Hughes were in fine form.

I got home from dinner with my family and turned the radio on. When I realized what was going on, I was too superstitious to change anything. I could have turned on the TV, but I didn’t. Left the radio on and Carlos kept rolling. I was huddled in front of the speakers during the ninth, my head down and my hands folded as if in prayer.

When Pat Hughes called the last strike and Ron let out his triumphant, “YEAHHHHH!!!” I finally ran to the family room and turned on the TV to see the celebration on the mound. I feel like this is a dream right now. I really do. Congratulations to Carlos Zambrano. Congratulations to the Chicago Cubs. What a historic day.

Is this a historic no-hitter?

Is this the first time a pitcher threw a no-hitter in a ballpark that is not affiliated with either team involved?

Ned Yost is going to file a protest that the HBP should have been ruled a hit by Freddie Prince Fielder thus nullifying the no hitter and achieving the first recorded instance in the moder era where a player gets a hit in a game he's not at for team he...

does not play for. You’ll read about it in the morning along with the Houston fans complaining that the games should have been moved to a neutral site days ago, like Puerto Rico or Monterrey but only the selfishness of the Cubs not wanting to fly into a CAT 3 hurricane to play a sporting event that might have been impossilbe to get to with the work force you need to pull somethign like that off; I don’t know how many home games Houston has lf=eft but thry might not play a one there. Go figure;.

OH MY GOD!

That’s amazing!

I don’t know what to say.

Well other than Congratulations to Big Z and the Cubs!

Oh, and thanks WGN for not showing it where I live.

Also

Let’s worry about winning our next game. I had to say it.

Blame ESPN

not WGN. The MLB and ESPN sunday game forbids national broadcast to compete with the ESPN broadcast (same with FOX), they can only show them localy
