Cubs at Shea next week, Who's pitching Monday?

hey all

for those of us living in New York this series - Sept. 22-25 - may be the only chance we get to see our Cubbies all year. I have tickets for the game on Monday the 22nd, but I'd like to know who's pitching for the cubs that night. the schedules, even tentative ones, don't  give you that kind of information this far in advance. Any ideas? are Z and Harden getting more rest down the stretch?

Thanks.

They will NOT rest them that early

In any event it will be Lilly. His start should be pushed back to Wed making him the starter
Monday.

Looks like I am wrong.

Yahoo is showing Lilly today and Marques Wed . Make no sense to me but that pushes Marquis
to Wed. Lots of us will be there. Big group on Thursday from NYC Yahoo meet up group.

True

But I would have loved the ORIGINAL pre-Ike match-up of TRL and CC. First one was great and round 2 might have been better. Under current rotation he will not face them in Milwaukee either but I strongly suspect there will be changes in the rotation soon.

Depends

I think a lot depends on if they have it wrapped up yet.

I'll be there

And so excited. I think Cubs are going to Clinch this weekend but I really really want to be there in NY to see it happen in person.

And can you believe there are STILL tickets available to all games!!!

NY Trip

Being a fan of ballparks and having never been to NYC I’ll be leaving for NYC on Friday. I’ll be at Yankee Stadium on Saturday and Shea on Monday.

There is a NY group

Not sure if anyone has been part of this…I haven’t. They meet at the bar Kelly’s in NYC. I’m guessing a lot of them are planning on something that week.

It could be a crazy series. There is even the possibility of 2 teams clinching the same night in the ballpark.

We got tickets for the Thursday game

so over 50 of us are going as a group. There is a game watching night tomorrow so you can come
by to Kelly’s

Thanks!

If I can I will. I work in CT so it might be hard but I am overdue to meeting Cubs fans from the area.

pitchers

for the homestand:

Demp
Marq
Harden
Z
Lilly
Demp

if they stick with the same rotation that would leave Marq-Harden-Z-Lilly for the series at Shea….but i’m guessing the Cubs will clinch this week at Wrigley which would mean Marshall would likely get a start at Shea, etc, depends on what they want to do with the rotation.

Also, I can guarantee that Harden will not be the 4th starter in the playoffs at GWitt so stupidly said in the sun-times.

Just a guess

Marquis, Harden, Z & Lilly depending on how both Harden and Z feel after their 1st two games back. Harden will close the Milw series here, Z will open the StL series here.

There’s also the consideration for when they clinch, likely to be at home against StL. Like I’d love to see a Milw sweep, the BrewCrew should come out hotter than a pistol knowing their backs are against the wall and they have a new manager.

I can see Marshall getting a start or two depending on when they clinch and/or Z/Harden needs.

Sweet Lou for Mayor in '11.
