Well, I'll be honest enough to admit...
…that I’m not comfortable enough with defensive metrics to discuss range factor, etc.
I do know that it’s widely accepted that Ronny Cedeno is a far superior defensive shortstop than Ryan Theriot. And just citing a couple cherry-picked stats and showing me the mlb.com stats page really does very little to support argument.

it's called
cherry picking. We all know Cedeno was not a great SS in 2006. Good thing is that the 2006 Cedeno isn’t playing.

when an easy Grounder gets
thrown into the stands, it is demoralizing for the team and the pitcher. Theriot is reliable- Cedeno is an adventure.
I don’t need stats to prove that.

yes, and?
that has nothing to do with the fact that Ronny Cedeno is a better shortstop than Ryan Theriot.

He had his chance in 2006 and 2007
He got beat out by a better player who hits and fields more consistently. Yea Ronnie shows some flash, but I dont want to watch and see if he develops into a good fielder.. i want someone you can depend on at SS. Ronny chokes.

Cedeno had no chance in ’07. Cesar Izturis was the starting shortstop when the season began, and Ryan Theriot took the starting job from him, not Cedeno. Try to keep up.

Clutch: You were right! Bob Forsch pitched a no-no on 4/16/78. His next start he lasted 1+ innings and gave up 7 runs on 7 hits! Here is the box score link:
