He had his chance in 2006 and 2007

He got beat out by a better player who hits and fields more consistently. Yea Ronnie shows some flash, but I dont want to watch and see if he develops into a good fielder.. i want someone you can depend on at SS. Ronny chokes.

Cedeno had no chance in ’07. Cesar Izturis was the starting shortstop when the season began, and Ryan Theriot took the starting job from him, not Cedeno. Try to keep up.

Let's just hope that the focus is a little off right now

I think the Cubs were due for a let down, after a big win, things seeming wrapped up, and Big Z coming off a no no. I just hope they don’t wait till next week to refocus. Lets chalk this one up and end this thing this weekend.

Good stuff. Too bad Perry put his drive on 18 into the water, or they would have handed Sergio his first loss in alternate shot.

Shortest outing after a no-hitter

Can anyone answer this trivia question (and, I’m sorry…I don’t know the answer myself):

Was this the SHORTEST outing a pitcher ever had after a no-hitter???

If not, can you identify which was?

Try looking up Forsch

Not sure whether it was Bob or Ken, but one of them only went 1IP in their next start after a no-no

It was Bob Forsch!!!

Clutch: You were right! Bob Forsch pitched a no-no on 4/16/78. His next start he lasted 1+ innings and gave up 7 runs on 7 hits! Here is the box score link:

http://www.baseball-almanac.com/box-scores/boxscore.php?boxid=197804231PIT

So this may not be the definitive answer, but it let’s Carlos off the hook. Maybe this is another example of a “sophomore slump”!

BTW: Did you remember this or find it somewhere???

Thanks!!!
