Anyone going to Milwaukee next weekend?

Is anyone making the trip to Milwaukee next weekend for the final series against the fall-apart-in-September Brewers?

We are going up, for our 1st ever trip to Miller Park, with a group of 8 of us.  We are going up Friday, and comming back Saturday.  We aren't driving to the game, a few drinks are going to be in our future, so we are looking to see who might be tailgating up there.

If anyone is going, and tailgating, and wouldn't mind sharing their grill with us, please let me know.  We'll bring food and beer with us.....just no tailgate.

Also, anyone have tips for things to do, places to go in Milwaukee during the weekend.  With the group thats going, I think any brewery tour or family activity will be out of the question.  We're looking more for hot spots at night.

Thanks, and we'll see you in Milwaukee.........and October!

loud and proud

The wife and I along with a couple of our friends are making the drive from Des Moines Thursday night. We’ll hit the brewery on Friday, and then the game that night and the next day. I’m glad this will be a stress free trip now!

It will be nice to watch a game with little stress!

I'm flying up from Florida to visit the daughter for the weekend

I have tickets for Sunday’s game. Ironically, this may NOT be the last game of the regular season IF the Cubs have to fly to Houston to make up the “Ike” game postponed on 9/14.

I’m also hoping to be lucky enough to get an email later today telling me I can buy NLDS tickets on Tuesday. I’ll fly up again for Sunday’s Game 4 (if it goes that far).

FWIW...

… the “magic number” to make certain the Cubs don’t have to fly to Houston is 4.

That is, any combination of four Mets wins/Astros losses will eliminate the Astros.

Correction: Games 1, 2, and 5 are home-field advantage

so Game 4 would be away (assuming the Cubs have home-field advantage).

Gonna be there too on Saturday

with nephews though so probably not too much tailgating. Nice to see a game with little stress. I am excited to see Miller Park. First time.
