Godhasspoken

This pic was taken on 2003 Clinch Day from Section 415 I think - the day the Cubs won two games of the double header and clinched the division. It was an overcast day throughout pretty much both games. But just a few minutes after the second victory and at the beginning of the celebration the sun splashed across the buildings behind Wrigley and Sheffield Ave, and I’ve never seen Wrigley so beautiful and amazing. It was as if the clouds parted at that moment so those Cubs players and fans of days past could shine down and be there with us all - in fact, I have titled this shot "God Has Spoken". Haha, cheesy I know, but I cried tears of joy and amazement that day. It’s a feeling I’ll never forget.

Here’s to the Cubs doing something even more special this year!!!

Oh wow… it looks so magical i thought at first it had been shopped or something.

Reminds me of, one of the two games I made it to this year, during God Bless America several hundred seagulls swept down over the field, and then towards the end of the National Anthem they all ascended again. It was just so surreal. Magic things happening at Wrigley!

Gorgeous

Is there a way I can snag it to use as my desktop background?

One day I hope to come up with something worthy of this space.

Thanks for the compliments....

Well, I thought you could right click and use “Save Picture As…” (depending on your browser), but I tried that and it doesn’t work so well. It saves the image as a .bmp, plus I don’t think you get the photo’s true resolution and quality (as a side note, the original was taken on what must be the first digital camera ever made, so there are no digital zoom capabilities).

Anyway, when I get to my home computer I’ll send the original to the email address listed in your profile. If anyone else wants the same then just let me know….
