BCBers getting to(ol)gether to watch the playoffs
Who lives where, and who's watching the first playoff game next Wednesday, October 1st? I wanted to start a discussion about where we are all located and see if anyone wants to meet up at a bar or venue to watch some of the games.
I'm down here in Kansas, about 40 minutes west of Kansas City, and a transplanted Cubs fan. Haven't met too many of 'em down here, and would gladly get together in KC if there are some other BCBers in the area. If you live elsewhere, feel free to share where and when you would like to get together.
Dan

I’m guessing that my wife and I are the only ones in the Lansing area…

I’m at a conference during the first two games of the NLDS, but after that maybe a possibility on the weekend. I haven’t heard of a Cubs bar either although maybe the ESPN Zone downtown. It would be pretty central for anyone in the Denver area.
And I just happen to be going to Chicago for 2 weeks on Oct. 25 for some job training. That happens to be the day of Game 3 of the WS, the first home game for the NL representative. Could be a lot of fun!

I might be throwing a get together at my house if we make the World Series. I live in the NW burbs for game 1.
But maybe it would be better to get something together downtown. Easier to get to for everyone.

We may have gotten Ike’d out of seeing Z throw a no-hitter, but we can still get together for the postseason. How about Cahill’s, 903 Durham Dr.? Owner is from Chitown, even as a poster of Barrett punching AJ on the wall. This was the spot to watch the Bears in the Super Bowl a couple years ago. Surely we’ll have better results this time.
