Single tickets are popping for the first two NLDS home games and there are pairs for a possible game 5.

Good luck.

I wanted this to be seen by folks so I thought it was fan post worthy.

Anyone know the refund policy if they don’t play game 5?

by Chodes on Sep 25, 2008 2:32 PM CDT   0 recs

I was actually just about to ask myself...

If there is a game 5, I’ll really like my seat in the front row of the upper deck. If not… well, I’d like my $75 back.

You get refunded the ticket price...

…but you may lose the fees. Not sure. My boss says the Astros give back the full amount when they sell playoff tickets that aren’t played.

They said that last year...

…but I think they decided after the Cubs didn’t get to the NLCS that you didn’t need to mail back your tickets. I may be misremembering here. Anyone else remember?

If there’s no game 5, I hope the Cubs will clarify exactly what needs to be done here.

I think having to return the tickets is absolutely ridiculous.

They have the credit card info — it’s a couple of mouse clicks to refund the money. Instead they have to have someone open the envelopes, credit the $ properly and mail out checks. Why would they want all the extra work?

Did you do print-at-home?

I’m believing more and more that they don’t monitor this as much as they want us to think.

same game or diff games?

if its the same game they might cancel both- I think they do the checking by addresses (email and billing) tho

Cubs Karma: Don't take anything for granted.....

by Andre Fonseca on Sep 25, 2008 3:03 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Same Game both print at home

I don’t want to miss out on this cause of my own stupidity

by PirateDan on Sep 25, 2008 3:05 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Yes on the addresses, but in combination with name

It doesn’t say anything about two people with the same address being counted as one buyer.

My next sig line quote will also be from Lou Piniella, and the first word will be either "Look", or "Listen", followed by a comma.

by JohnM on Sep 25, 2008 3:05 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

I don't think they'd cancel anything....if there were to be some check

on the CC/email/etc., it would happen AS the tickets were bought, don’t you think? Although i’m not going to try for additional game 5s i think, I just picked up two SROs- I was picked in the lottery and have Game 1 tickets from that, which i definitely don’t want cancelled. But I am now thinking they don’t check anything really, but since there wont be a game 5 I feel like buying more tickets would just be a free loan to MLB.

by Canseco's Roid Party on Sep 25, 2008 3:20 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

I think the restrictions were by game

so if you have game 1 and game 5 you should be ok

Cubs Karma: Don't take anything for granted.....

by Andre Fonseca on Sep 25, 2008 3:28 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

I believe this is true.

They just left that warning up because, well, the people responsible for updating web pages/emails don’t always do it. I think once the sale from the email lottery was done and they opened it up to everyone, the restrictions were gone.

I want to thank MPH3 for bringing this to our attention

I now have two bleacher seats to what could be THE most exciting game of the series if it gets to Game 5.

This would be the deciding game and I can say I was there if it happens. At Wrigley. Cheering on the Cubs! Singing Go Cubs Go.
