World Series Tickets Printed?

Feel free to delete this post if someone has posted it already but according to this site they claim that the World Series tickets have been printed.  Not being a season ticket holder (and probably won't be for many years to come I'm not sure if this is a regular thing that teams do).  I must admit it gave me goose bumps just to see our fellow Cubbies on a ticket of such magnitude.  Had to share this with the class.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of SB Nation or Al Yellon, managing editor (unless it's a FanPost posted by Al). FanPost opinions are valued expressions of opinion by passionate and knowledgeable baseball fans.

Yes of course they are printed

Basically all teams with a mathmatical chance of making the post season around Sept. 1 are authorized to print tickets for their season ticket holders. I would scan mine but I am don’t even know how to post photos, The stripeven includes a Tie Breaker ticket.

Beautiful, isn't it

Bar codes and seating removed, but otherwise this is it.

I don't know, it looks pretty sweet

My next sig line quote will also be from Lou Piniella, and the first word will be either "Look", or "Listen", followed by a comma.

Oh, they've been printed and sent out

I’m not looking too far ahead but all the post season tickets are shipped together.

Seat location question

First very cool World Series tickets. That got me excited.

I didn’t want to create a post on this bcause it’s not post worthy where is Section 236-2 location? I have 2 tickets for game 5 but they are limited view. Am I right in front of a post and won’t be able to see a thing? Does anyone know about these seats?

by ak123 on Sep 26, 2008 11:38 AM CDT reply actions

Um I think you mean BEHIND a post.

Limited view seats are generally behind the posts and you sort of have to try to look around them.

Did mean that

I figured I’d be behind a post. When I went to Wrigley last month we were maybe 10 rows behind a post and I could see most of the game. I’m kinda hoping I’m not right behind one and my entire view is blocked. However I’m happy to just have tickets to begin with.

Yeah that would suck

here is a seating chart

If it’s limited view, yes, you probably have a pole in the way. Here is a seating chart for Wrigley. 236 is in the righ field corner.

Also remember...

Wrigley goes by Aisles, not sections. If you have a seat with a number under 100, you are on the right hand side of the aisle (as you face the field) If you have a seat 100 or above, you are on the left hand side (as you face the field)

Thank you but

I know where aisle 236 is but my ticket reads 236-2. I don’t know what the -2 means.

by ak123 on Sep 26, 2008 12:03 PM CDT up reply actions

I'm not sure, but

I think it has something to do with what side of the aisle you are on. I think -1 is one side and -2 is the other, but don’t quote me on that.

I have been corrected

I called the Cubs Ticket office, because I figured they would tell me, and they did. The -2 means they are in the Terrace Reserved section. If it was -1 it would be in the terrace box secion of Aisle 236.

Thank you very much

My ticket does say Terrace Reserved on it. I just didn’t know what the -2 meant. That’s good to know! I’m just trying to figure out how far behind a post I’m sitting. If I go to game 5 I’m flying into Chicago for a day to see the game, I’m hoping I can actually SEE the game.

Found this link

http://chiblogo.wordpress.com/2008/05/05/bad-seats-in-the-house/

It’s a great FAQ about all the seats at Wrigley including were posts are located.

I’m 3 rows behind a post in seats 3 and 4. The post is in front of seat 1. I think that means I won’t be able to see very much but 1/2 of me feels like it’s a playoff game and I can be there so it’s still worth it.

by ak123 on Sep 26, 2008 1:18 PM CDT up reply actions

I was looking at that

at first I thought I would be ok but now im thinking Im gonna have a pole to deal with. If the poles go straight up and there is one in 226 that brings up really close to 525 and I am in seat 1 in row 3
