I believe Johnson could have got to that ball

but Cedeno called him off it. If you are going to cal it (running away from the infield) CATCH IT!

You have to give way to the outfielder as he has the play to the plate on that.

Neifi was a plus defensive shortstop.

That doesn’t excuse the total package, but it at least mitigates it. McGehee can’t even play short, and I don’t think he’s a better hitter.
