So was Guzman and so was Wuertz yesterday

but isn’t the pitching staff completely set, since Howry and Samardzija were confirmed by Lou?

My next sig line quote will also be from Lou Piniella, and the first word will be either "Look", or "Listen", followed by a comma.

I don't know all of the rules but Len was saying something like the roster can be

changed at some point. Maybe after the NLCS? Wish I knew the rules more.

You can change players between rounds of the playoffs.

So if the Cubs win the NLDS, they can change their roster for the NLCS.

by cwyers on Sep 28, 2008 2:04 PM CDT up reply actions

Can be changed each round of the playoffs, true

SO here's a thought

We’ve seen how good CC is. We know that he’s going to be a FA come the end of the season. So assuming that the brewers can’t keep him do the cubs go after him hard? Marquis would probably have to go, but you would have a rotation of Z, CC, Dempster, Harden and Lilly. That would be one hell of a rotation

by nmcubsfan on Sep 28, 2008 2:01 PM CDT reply actions

it would rip the Brewers' hearts out

Never, but NEVER, put ketchup on a hot dog.

by CaliCub on Sep 28, 2008 2:03 PM CDT up reply actions

isn't demp a FA also?

little to no chance of CC being a Cub

by JPetey on Sep 28, 2008 2:04 PM CDT up reply actions

why?

Because of money? I would think the cubs wouldn’t have a problem with that, especially if they win it all this year

by nmcubsfan on Sep 28, 2008 2:06 PM CDT up reply actions

Because the Cubs have...

…Z, Lilly, Harden and Marquis under contract for next year, would probably like to keep Dempster, and have Samardzija and Gaudin to find spots for as well.
