Or
firing Millen trumps anything that will happen this season for them?

"The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been . . . baseball. America is ruled over it like an army of steamrollers." It isn't "rolled", it's "ruled".
Tommie Agee was out.
67 pitches for CC.

That's the Brewers owner??
he looks like he’s 30 years old

Mark Grace yesterday said
he’s a real nice, normal guy for a gazillionaire.
My next sig line quote will also be from Lou Piniella, and the first word will be either "Look", or "Listen", followed by a comma.
I really wish
i could see this game….i’ve missed the entire season so far
you just stay safe over there!
Our prayers are with you.

I'll be home on leave
On wednesday……I’ll be watching the playoffs from vegas most likely
I don't see
CC going more then 6 or 7 at the most. There’s no way he goes 130 pitches today
Let's Go Mets!
I feel so dirty for saying that.

I was at the game yesterday, too
It was amazing.
thats cool
but how the heck does that happen when your team is fighting for the playoffs? I guess they don’t know that at the beginning of the year when the Cubs fans buy all the tix

Our relievers have looked great today, against a potential playoff team
who should be trying as hard as possible. Hart just made Corey Hart look foolish.
Yesterday when Marquis was pitching to Braun
I said “Jew to Jew”
Mets are going to blow it
I was hoping the cubs would face them in the 1st round
Mets lose, Brewers lose, they both have to play tomorrow

Agreed
Can’t believe our relievers are going to do THIS well all day today.

Pat just called Prince Cecil
Even he is relaxing a bit today.

"Cecil" is all he'll hear from opposing fans from now on
after admitting to that hissy fit he threw at Wrigley.

81 pitches for CC.

Hill helped him on that at bat
according to game cast, none of those pitches should have been strikes……he’s losing his command.
I wonder why no team uses a shift on Theriot
He never hits it to LF. I’m not sure his bat is that speedy, although he does seem to have good bat control.

I haven't had a chance
to read anything since Friday but I just read an article that said Hoff has baically made the team over Pie. Has that been discussed while I was gone? I really hope Lou has not made that a defininite situation.
yeah it was discussed ad naseum
Friday night.. A lot of Hoff supporters but not me.

I don't agree with the decision.

Man, that was close. CC is a stud.

like L&B said...
next year they should re-sign CC and fire everybody else

Gah
I love Harden and all, but can you imagine how ridiculous the Cubs would have been with CC?

Who do you want to win the Wild Card?
NYM or Brew-crew. I say Brew-crew, for the Cubs to play LA the first round. But I want that playoff in Shea tommorow.

Mets
Cubs can batter their pitching, esp. their weak bullpen.
Never, but NEVER, put ketchup on a hot dog.
My God
Easily, the Mets. It’s not even close. Dodgers have a good playoff pitching rotation. I’d take the Mets in the first round, over the Dodgers. Mets have been scratching and clawing their way into this. Might as well kick a team while they’re down.

The Dodgers are the worst team in the playoffs, and it's not even close.
I really don’t know why people keep saying this stuff.
