I'm guessing

that Cubs/Dodgers will be the “NLB” schedule due to more primetime games. Excellent for me as I work in the daytime and don’t want to have to call in “sick”.

Remember...

… each of those series has two alternate time schedules.

Reposting my BEST GUESS (not official, just a guess) on what they’ll announce for the first two games:

Oct 1: Brewers/Phillies at 2 pm CT; Cubs/Dodgers at 5:30 pm CT; Red Sox/Angels at 9 pm CT

Oct 2: Twins or White Sox/Rays at 12:30 pm CT; Phillies/Brewers at 4 pm CT; Cubs/Dodgers at 7:30 pm CT

that was my guess too

I think there is no question that the Brewers Phillies match up will get the early time slots throughout the NLDS.

plus i think we will undoubtedly be the late game on Saturday,

the only good argument i've heard for the day game

is the history of day baseball at wrigley….with that being said i pray they are the night games

I think TV Execs will laugh at that arguement

Those look good to me

given the Chicago LA markets TBS will obviously want to avoid putting us in those early slots.

Excellent

I was hoping to rock it out in Game 1 at night! Just makes everything so much more exciting!

NLB = Other Division Winners

NLA = National League Division Winner versus Wildcard

Per TBS link

The Cubs should be either 5 or 6:30 for games one and two.

This one's got-a chance......GONE!

OT: Question for Al

Wasn’t there a BCB contest at the beginning of the year to predict how many games the Cubs would win and THeriots splits?

It was at the All-Star break.

I’ll post the link tomorrow to determine the winner.

TBS needs to get its act together

Right now on the TBS MLB main page, it says that the Brewers are playing the Dodgers on Wednesday at 2:30pm ET.

I guess this is just par for the course given their horrible playoff coverage last year.

yes...

so those of us on the West Coast have a shot at seeing the game, thank you.

(of course, I’ll be at Wrigley.)

But....

it really sucks for those of us in the Eastern Time zone who have to get up early for their jobs. I’m going to be a zombie at work on Friday.

they will play it

but Im sure TBS will cut away to show a Frank Caliendo commerical so we wont hear it.

So much

for kids watching the games with starts that late. Same with old guys like me. I’ll need a nap just to make it to the start! Bar owners in Wrigleyville will love that late 8:30 start though.

This is only the beginning....Lou Pinella end of '07 season and Chicago Transit Authority (the band when they were really good).

If there's a Game 4...

the likely start time is 10:30 PM EDT. That’s 7:30 PDT.

Game 3 is already at 9PM Chicago time.

by bison on Sep 28, 2008 10:04 PM CDT up reply actions

That depends on whether the other series are still going.

It’s possible it might be a 5:30 PDT start (7:30 CDT).

What about Beer inside Wrigley!

If we start at 8:30 thats only 40 minutes of beer (9:20 cutoff?) I wonder if that will be in effect?

No, it's 9:30 or the 7th inning, whichever is later.

It’ll be the 7th inning. (Your math is off, too: 8:30 to 9:20 is 50 minutes, not 40.)

"Airtimes"

It says “All times are Air Times” — as opposed to actual game times, right? So the game times will likely be 30 min. later or so, no?

My next sig line quote will also be from Lou Piniella, and the first word will be either "Look", or "Listen", followed by a comma.

Thursday - Wow

At least there will be plenty of time to get some dinner….

I assumed it would be a night game (just made hotel arrangements), but man….

Does anyone know

what came of that proposed ban on Wrigleyville bars selling booze from 7th inning on? On the bright side, some of these games will be close to the regular cut off time anyway by the time the 7th inning comes along.
