Go Cubs... Go Dempster!!!!
"A catchers biggest concern behind the plate is to make his pitcher pitch a little better than he can" Roy Campanella
new cubs.com article
Atleast I feel Lou is being honest with this. No update on Harden, sure they will say something on TV.
They did talk to
Harden on CSN and he said there is soreness but it’s not a soreness like he’s ahd with other injuries.
I agree

hope the bats are live and the pitch is on point tonight
I wish it were winter so we could freeze it into ice blocks and skate on it and melt it in the spring time and drink it!
No, that's me..

Exactly. He'll probably get all liquored up
because he knows he’s done for the regular season. He’ll probably then turn into a rampaging crying monstrosity (Think the "Hulk") and proceed to tear down half of Wacker drive.
if thats the case let me restate the question who refuses an MRI

I couldn't believe
when Lou said they had it lined up for Z and he didn’t show up. They have no idea why.
is he at the Wrigley tonight?

Is this a shade of Sosa?
Or any other player who wanted out of a contract/town so bad he did dumb things in order to get shipped out?
Just askin’…
One day I hope to come up with something worthy of this space.
He just signed a huge extension...
Don’t think so.
is there info anywhere on how to make BCB work on a blackberry?
"There's a lot of things we don't tell you." Lou Pinella
Sounds like it...
…but what we don’t know is whether the doc recommended he get it done tomorrow instead. If he has inflamation in the shoulder, they like to get that under control so the MRI will show more.
I am just speculating as to why, it’s also possible Z just decided on his own.

We’re going to win tonight, aren’t we, Demp?
they planned on skipping him from the beginning
hendry said even if we were 5 games down, we’d still do this
And a quick inning for Dempster.
Let’s put a few on the board early!

Do you have the link on the Tribune?
BTW, do you communicate via ASL or Cued Speech?
Just that Z
wasn’t there when they closed the clubhouse and they don’t know why he didn’t show up for his MRI. The reporter called it a red flag.
I hope so

Well they thought they were still in it at the trade deadline.
Turns out, they’re only 7 back in the Wild Card now.
C'mon guys
Need the hitters to pick up. The pitching staff has to be a bit nervous tonight. Give’em a reason to breathe deeply.
I am a bit confused as to why Lou went with an all RH line up
when Wolf only gave up three hits in his last game against such a line up in his last game. I hope we prove to do a better job against him tonight, but I like when we change things up against these pitchers.

To be honest, I'm not entirely certain how the Gameday app...
…displays the data. I usually just look at the XML files underneith.
I believe that it is
the movement of the pitch as it deviates from a straight line perpendicular to the release point
I'm not sure but after looking at it all year ...
I think BRK is the break of the pitch from the straight line trajectory at release point and PFX is the deviation from a perfect middle of the plate strike. Just my guess
