The inherent risk, of course...
…is that, if the Brewers win, the stress level for tonight’s game will go up exponentially. Then again, I’m at work, so it’s not like I have anything else better to do.

Yeah, the work helps.
No need to worry. Consider this: Randy Wolf is 1-4 in 7 career starts at Wrigley. His ERA is 5.36.
In 2008, he threw 4 IP, allowed 7 ER and 5 BB in his only start of the year at Wrigley.
I love to play baseball. I'm a baseball player. I've always been a baseball player. I'm still a baseball player. That's who I am. - Ryne Sandberg
This made me feel better...
We have 24 games left, Milwaukee has 23. Magic number is 20.
There are 47 results remaining that affect us, and only 20 have to go our away. Percentage-wise, that’s something to feel good over. Let’s turn it around tonight and get it to 18.
Math Error
Actually Milwaukee has 25 games left which means there are 49 results.
And the Cubs play the Brewers 6 times
Which means either a reduction in the magic number by 2 or no change at all. So how does that change things?

Rest
Update: Fielder is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday’s game against the Mets, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports.
Recommendation: Milwaukee is facing its fifth left-handed starter in six games, while Fielder has gone just 3-for-25 and has failed to homer in the last 17 games (66 at-bats). Mike Rivera gets the nod in Fielder’s place on Wednesday.
Go ahead, Z me.

that is a silly historical premise
until the team that’s behind waves the white flag,
keep trying to score runs
It's still early
6 runs is not all that much when your pitcher is Oliver Perez and for a Brewers offense even without Fielder.
Go ahead, Z me.
Against a powerful offense...
…like the Brewers, I don’t think it is out of school to steal up 6. If it was 8-0, it may be different, but you don’t stop playing your game this early against a team that can score runs.
As a side note, if the game is out of hand late, you will know if it pissed off Yost if someone gets plunked.

Hall slammed his bat down after he popped it up.
But he almost hit the catcher with the bat. The umps probably would have called him out for obstructing the play if the ball hadn’t been caught.

First, he slammed his bat at the plate upon popping up
and the catcher almost got whacked in the head. Then he started yapping at the home plate ump for some reason – probably because he told him to stop being such a drama queen.

If the Mets score this run, one of their batters will be plunked.

By the way,
it’s a SF9 — the catcher doesn’t get in the box score on the play, since the runner was safe
