Lou's only weakness, in my opinion

Bob Howry. Lou has made mistakes this year, but then again who hasn't. But where he excels is in making the adjustments needed to right the ship. He may not always do it as quickly as some fans may like, but he puts up with non-performance only so far before he changes things up. But Lou has some kind of blind spot, or misleading statistic, or is being extorted in some way when it come to Bob Howry. He has had one good month out of 5, without a discernable cut in usage or relegating to blowouts. And if it is not corrected, it could cost the City of Chicago in a big, big way.

It's like Piniella

Just desperately WANTS Howry to succeed. And he just doesn’t. Give it up, Lou.

I don't understand

why Lou keeps sending him back out there. Eyre wasn’t close to as bad this year and we DFA him.

" only weakness"

So leaving in Marmol with the six run lead and letting him blow the five run lead
was not a weakness ? Treating potential important players like Cedeno, Pie, Lieber
like dirt and pretty much killing any chance they can help are not a problem ? Constantly overusing and underusing the BP AND the bench are HUGE problems. Lou picks favorites who he " trusts" lets offer rust and then goes totally nuts on the righty/lefty matchups leading
to not having good pinch hitters available late in games when you really need them. Howry is a SYMPTON of Lou’s “weakness” not the “only” one.

Lou still thinks Theriot is a SS.

That has cost us more games than Howry.

Lou has a fair amount of weaknesses

as good as he is at times. Some guys he gives miles of rope, some none. I wonder if Lee continues to struggle if he lowers him in the order or gives him some days off like he is doing with Dome.
