Ok, so I dont understand a few things here and if anyone can answer my questions that would be great. What is the difference between something that is adjusted and its regular stat (adjusted batting runs? adjusted OPS? adjusted ERA?)? What exactly is the offensive win% for a hitter account for, how is the power/speed number calculated, and is runs created the same thing as runs scored.
Things I found interesting. At the beginning of the season people would have never predicted Theriot to lead in BA, OBP, Singles, Triples, Stolen Bases, Caught Stealing, Times on Base, and at bats per strikeout (just sayin'). It is also interesting that in the pitching categories Zambrano is scarce with an exception of Comp. Games and shutouts. Without that no-hitter, Zambrano would be absent from our team leaders. And for some reason, my favorite stat is Dempster leading the team in sacrafice hits... he really knows how to win a ballgame and in my opinion our main reason for being as good as we are this year. Soriano leading the team in HRs after his injuries deserves an honorable mention as well.. GO CUBS!! LETS WIN THIS NLDS!

Any chance you could try to reformat this so it's easier to read?

Isn't Marmol good for the team lead in ERA?
by Jerry Mumphrey on Sep 30, 2008 3:39 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
he didn't meet the minimum requirement to qualify for the league lead in ERA
which is usually a minimum of 1 inning pitched per team game.
Which is why BR wouldn’t list him as the team leader.

Hard to believe:
Lilly’s K:BB ratio, good job, Ted
Marmol appearing in HALF of our games
Evey Hammond: Vi Veri Veniversum Vivus Vici. V: By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

Marmol appeared in 82 games.
The team record is 84. It was set by Ted Abernathy in 1965, and tied by Dick Tidrow in 1980 and Bob Howry in 2006.
All three of those teams lost 90 or more games.
