anyone know

what regions of the country will get this game. i live in north carolina but get norfolk va tv region. is there anyway to tell in advance which areas get the fox games. i know al posts the regionson the actual game day but itd be nice to have more of a heads up

Usually a few days in advance

The information leaks out. But, here’s the three FOX games that day:

Minnesota at Tampa Bay
St Louis at Chicago
Milwaukee at Cincinnati

MIN@TAM will have huge coverage because both teams will be in the playoff race. The Cubs game will get the next most amount of coverage, followed by Milwaukee’s game.

I’d suspect that in Norfolk, it’s almost definite you’ll get the Twins/Rays game.

Actually, I doubt that'd be true.

Minnesota/Tampa would probably create the LEAST interest since those teams have small fanbases. Fox knows that Cubs/Cardinals give major ratings.

My guess is that Minnesota/Tampa goes to Minnesota, northern Wisconsin, the Dakotas, central & northern Florida, and maybe Boston and NY (since those teams are in the division with the Rays).

Milwaukee/Cincinnati goes to Wisconsin, most of Ohio, and that’s about it.

Cubs/Cardinals go everywhere else. Strictly guesswork, but I’m thinking Cubs/Cardinals gets about 2/3 of the country.

Your prediction also makes sense

Though I’ll be honest, I’m just concerned about who AFN picks up!

Sometimes they will show 2 Fox games at once, sometimes just one Fox game, sometimes none depending on the other events going on at the time. The AFN Sports schedule for that day hasn’t yet been decided, though two channels are blocked out for sports programming. The only thing I know is that I’ll be able to watch Fever Pitch beforehand!

I think MLBtv has some free trials . . .

At least they did.

SE WI will get the Chicago stations — you could go to Janesville. Maybe they get Rockford (?)

sweet

as long as the tigers aren’t playing, i’ll probably get the cubs.

We won't know until near the end of that week.

As soon as I can find them, I’ll post them.

If you get the Fox station from Norfolk, one way to find out would be to call them. Here’s their website.

Going to the game with my (awesome) in-laws. I’d stop by to meet you, Al, but we don’t have bleacher tickets.

Awesome!

I’ll send you the email when it gets closer to gameday…2+ week old emails might as well exist in a black hole (for me, at least)
