At first I thought "I'm back guys" referred to Carlos Marmol
and I was excited for some funnies. Oh well.
Glad are you okay.

But I’m glad you’re okay. Hope things stabilize soon!

this is worse than katrina and the one thing that’s solid is the cubs lock on the central.

ffs boys.
this is unacceptable.
you tell theriot i’m 2 blocks from his mom’s place and we have no power and we’re not happy with what’s going on.

Wow, I don't blame you for being pissed.
That can’t be any fun. Well, maybe the Cubs losing streak was somehow related to Gustav. And now that he’s gone, the winning can resume. Hang in there.
"I see the playoff schedule posted in the paper, and that stuff makes me nervous because you can't take anything for granted. We have a great team. We have a really good team. We're playing well, but we haven't won yet." - Jim Edmonds, 8/31/08

seeing "theriot" and "no power" in the same sentence would usually bring a smile to my face but not this time.
Hang in there Carlos, and the next time a hurricane sends its 100 mph winds at you, you throw some 100 mph white castles right back at it.
The next time a hurricane drops a tree limb in your front yard, you break that tree limb over your knee like the other Carlos does.
And the next time FEMA comes to your door and says “Hi, we’re from FEMA and we’re here to help”, you have my permission to call “technical balk” on them. Then you can come back here, tell us about it, and we’ll waste no time posting big “FAIL” pictures.
In the meantime, get yourself as comfortable as best you can and look forward to a weekend full of text updates… cubs win… win… win…

I live in Louisiana, I about 15-20 min. south of Shreveport. I was wondering where you live.

I know the feeling.
I couldn’t see the Cubs clinch in 1989 because Hurricane Hugo wiped off the cable service in San Juan, PR, for a couple of months. The story repeated itself in 1998 when Hurricane Georges hit the island. Cable service at home was lost for a week. However, I could watch the Cubs wild card tiebreaker against the Giants because I went to upstate New York to spend a week with relatives until the conditions in San Juan improved and I was called back to work.
So, I empathize. Have hope. It will all come to pass soon.
