CUBS ARE WINNING!

BREWERS ARE LOSING!

DROP THAT MAGIC NUMBER SOON!! WOOOOOO

Evey Hammond: Vi Veri Veniversum Vivus Vici. V: By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

If either of these things go wrong...

…someone’s going to hand you from the yardarm.

I thought about my actions before I clicked "POST"

and decided that there are no such things as curses, jinxes, or anything greater than a 0% chance that the Brewers or Cubs players are reading my BCB posts, on their edge of their seats, waiting to see what I say next.

For the record

I do believe in a boy with magical wizardry abilities, flying brooms, and Horcruxes. For what it’s worth.

And that if Neo took the blue pill...

…none of us would exist. But that’s a different story.

i've seen that movie at least 3 times

and it still makes zero sense.

Really?

The Matrix recycles a lot of pretty common sci-fi tropes (not that that’s a bad thing!) Dark City did a much more thoughtful presentation of the basic idea. Great, great movie.

by cwyers on Sep 7, 2008 2:58 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

How the HELL did I know you would mention DC

I’m so die-hard Matrix Trilogy, it dawned on me I had not see DC. Bought it bout 2 weeks ago, haven’t watched it yet.

I don't know.

Maybe it’s my copy of the Star Trek: Next Generation Technical Manual. Or the fact that I own all five seasons of Babylon 5 on DVD. Probably something along those lines.

by cwyers on Sep 7, 2008 3:01 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Dark City was awsome...and it had Jennifer Connelly in it too...

But The Matrix was groundbreaking in its own way.

Mostly for how it looked.

The story was really old hat. Which, recycled sci-fi tropes are still awesome. But still.

by cwyers on Sep 7, 2008 3:03 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

i think part of my problem w/ matrix

was that the trippy camera stuff made me ill and then i just spaced out.

Will the offense score any touchdowns tonight? Stay tuned!

What's a touchdown?

And what does it have to do with Kyle Orton?

by cwyers on Sep 7, 2008 2:59 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

I'm watching the game

Just to see if Orton is:

(1) Chewing during the game
(2) Drinking Beam during the game

I can’t wait to find out the results.
