I thought about my actions before I clicked "POST"
and decided that there are no such things as curses, jinxes, or anything greater than a 0% chance that the Brewers or Cubs players are reading my BCB posts, on their edge of their seats, waiting to see what I say next.

Really?
The Matrix recycles a lot of pretty common sci-fi tropes (not that that’s a bad thing!) Dark City did a much more thoughtful presentation of the basic idea. Great, great movie.

How the HELL did I know you would mention DC
I’m so die-hard Matrix Trilogy, it dawned on me I had not see DC. Bought it bout 2 weeks ago, haven’t watched it yet.

I don't know.
Maybe it’s my copy of the Star Trek: Next Generation Technical Manual. Or the fact that I own all five seasons of Babylon 5 on DVD. Probably something along those lines.
by cwyers on Sep 7, 2008 3:01 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Dark City was awsome...and it had Jennifer Connelly in it too...
But The Matrix was groundbreaking in its own way.

Mostly for how it looked.
The story was really old hat. Which, recycled sci-fi tropes are still awesome. But still.

i think part of my problem w/ matrix
was that the trippy camera stuff made me ill and then i just spaced out.

It started out with a bloop single that Edwards misplayed into a man at second.
Kerry walked the next batter. Then, on a bunt attempt, DLee threw out the man at third. Unfortunately, Kerry walked the next guy to load the bases. The critical play occurred when the next man hit a grounder up the middle that Cedeno could have turned two and gotten us out of the game but he booted it. Two runs scored and the next man up singled (only solid hit of the inning) and the game was over.

He fucked up. It happens, but I’ve watched the replay almost 10 times now, and like I said he was too worried about getting the DP than actually fielding it first. He is a better fielder than Theriot ,hands down, but I’m telling you 9 times out of 10 Theriot even makes that play. But this is why Cedeno rides the bench mostly, his mental errors. Edmonds, Cedeno, and Wood all cost us in the 9th but we also left a lot of guys on base. We lost, onward.

I wasn't worried
through this losing streak until today. Horrible loss. I kind of had a bad feeling last night even though they won. Givng up 8 runs in the last two innings was a bad omen. Hope they can turn it around soon, because they can’t continue to rely on the Brewers playing like crap too.

It's gonna be a tough game, no doubt, but I think we can win it. Certainly
the Packers and the Vikings will be fighting for the top spot, while the bears toil away.

no offense but the packers are going nowhere with rodgers as qb
by lexmarklover on Sep 7, 2008 3:45 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
because i think aaron rodgers is not even close to brett farve

Ryan Grant hasnt even proved anything in the NFL. hes done it in what 12 games or so
so prove to me hes a good rb like he was last year and ill believe
by lexmarklover on Sep 7, 2008 3:49 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
what?
getting to the playoffs isnt about proven players. You say Favre carried the team to the playoffs and I say the addition of Grant helped us more. Now your telling me none of that matters because he isnt proven? Just what the fuck are you trying to get across here? Explain to me because you keep switching the topics..
by bheidge on Sep 7, 2008 3:52 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Like the interception he threw to cost us the NFC championship?
How about Ryan Grant? or Greg Jennings and Donald Driver? Or the defense, with Al Harris and Charles Woodson, Nick Barnett, AJ Hawk?

obviously.
But what team in the NFL had the most yards after the catch last year? The packers. And that’s because of their WRs.

a QB isnt shit if he doesnt have any decent WR’s
by bheidge on Sep 7, 2008 3:54 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs

rodgers cant make the same throws as farve. sure u can have great wr but hows he gonna get teh ball

but you can’t accept that Cedeno had a shitty play? And you still haven’t responded to my argument about Theriot being a better hitter than Cedeno

Career Stats
Theriot: 1205 AB, .290 BA, .389 OBP, .976 Fielding%
Cedeno: 865 AB, .254 BA, .291 OPB, .966 Fielding %
Cedeno you could say is statistically worse than Theriot

uhh... 13 is a lot more than 7. Clearly Cedeno is the better defender.
FP doesn’t tell you anything. Look at their zone ratings, OOZ plays, etc. Theriot has no range.

Except it obviously proves that he does have more power.
We aren’t arguing about other players, we’re arguing between these two. Cedeno has more power. He doesn’t get consistent playing time like Theriot. He’s younger, and improving. Theriot has hit his peak. He’s a worse baserunner than Cedeno. He has half the arm of Cedeno. He’s just plain bad.
