By the look of those sleeves
It appears that is a member of the ’41 Cubs. Here is the jersey:
The ’42 Cubs had a similar jesey, but the had the “Hale America” patch on their right breast:
Old Style is the nectar of life.
Nice guesses, but wrong.
1941 is probably correct, though. (The player involved was with the Cubs for more than one season, there’s your only clue.)
