Saturday Mystery Motion
I'm taking a bit of a break from convention activities. I'll have a longer post up later, in the meantime, can you identify this mystery pitcher?

that'd be my guess too

Yup. Gotta be Clement circa 2003?

Or the weird forearms.
Or the screwed up rotator cuff…
you are trying to trick us by using a picture of him throwing to first.
but based on the very pale skin, I ’ll say Wade Miller.
He never saw much sun light.

Gaudin is 5'11
Clement is 6’3. I think this guy looks taller than 5’11.

It's Matt Clement, found the pic!

Erm, well if we are going to call Milton Bradley nicknames, mine is Fischer Price: yes, you heard it here first..
I would have guessed Clement, given the pale skin. why did Al not say anything?
talk about a guy who never got any sun! :-)

I stand corrected!
I seem to recall that Matt Clement always failed after running the bases (he was a good pitcher, but a bit frail).
I’ll bet the fielding play (in this picture) soon brought an end to this outing.

As I recall, Matt Clement had asthma.
Hey, it's a new century!

yes he did have asthma (as do I). but plenty of asthmatics are durable.
I recall seeing him using an inhaler occasionally.
But I still recall that he often broke down after any additional activity “on the field.” I always thought he was going to do better with Boston and the AL, since he would not have to bat. I guess I was wrong.

Thanks for posting the original....
… you guys got it. I didn’t answer because I was at the convention.

Pickoff
Yes, that would appear to be a pickoff throw. No power L, elbow outside the ball, ball facing home plate rather than appropriately at the SS and glove not tucked closer to body. If that’s him going to the plate, which I highly doubt, it’s an arm injury waiting to happen.
Who needs a stinkin' tag line? What are they for anyway?
A play at first, not a pickoff throw.
I don’t think there is that much wind-up in a pickoff throw.
