I literally have no idea who that is.
Evey Hammond: Vi Veri Veniversum Vivus Vici. V: By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.
Seriously?
He had a 0.00 ERA in four pitching appearances covering five innings.

Off topic
and not even worth a fanshot, but did anyone see Obama talking via satellite to the Chicago-area servicemen and women in Afganistan at one of the balls last night? Obama had to ask them “Cubs or White Sox?” The first one said “Cardinals” I believe and then the next four all said “Cubs” at which point the president was throwing his head up in the air in desperation. Finally, the last one, a servicewoman from Hyde Park, said “White Sox” and Obama finally smiled.
I hope the White Sox lose 160 games...
Hey, I still want them to beat the Yankees a couple times.

Didnt see it
but heard it too many times on 670 The Score today (thank God for internet, or I would not be able to listen to Chicago Sports Talk, while posting here instead of working).

I think 6 of the 7 service people at the Commander in Chief Ball
said, “Cubs fan.” They were on a satellite feed, as you point out. It was great seeing Obama getting frustrated.
Actually, he didn’t ask anyone until he got to serviceman #2 who was from somewhere on the south side, and that is when Obama asked him “Cubs or Sox fan?” The guy answered Cubs and Obama was hurt (in a teasing way). After that, everyone reluctantly answered “Cubs” until the end. I think the female soldier at the end said “Sox” just to make Obama feel better.
"When you are in a hole, stop digging." - anon.
She did say
she was from Hyde Park, so it would make sense if she was a Sox fan.

My dad, not a season ticket holder, saw Doug pitch twice in 5 days. Those were some lean years for the Cubs!

That would be June 28 and July 2, 1991.
Here’s Dougie’s pitching game log from 1991. He was about the best pitcher on the staff both days.
