Hollandsworth Replaces Plesac
As we know Dan Plesac has departed the Comcast studios for greener pastures and the MLB Network. Many, including myself were touting Todd Hollandsworth to replace Plesac and that has happened. In a brief snippet in an article focusing on the Heilman trade, Dave Van Dyck reveals that Hollandsworth will take over on Comcast Cubs pre and post game.

I like this move.
Todd’s a pretty good studio guy, and I doubt he will resort to the cornball train conductor antics of Plesac. Just hope he doesn’t accidentally bang his shin on the desk…

I won't.
Every time he did the Big Blue Train, I wanted to shatter my TV screen with my forehead. That said, he seems a little more together on MLB Network. I think he’s forced to be more objective there. I’ll also give Dan some credit – he recently took part in a demonstration of how pitchers and catcher work together on MLBn with, IIRC, Chris Snyder of the D’backs, and it was really interesting.
Consistent. Championship. Tradition.

I hope Plesac will still be on the radio
I didn’t have CSN but loved him when he was on with Waddle & Silvy.

I think this is a good move.
Hollandsworth did a nice job during some late-season games and the postseason. He’ll be a good addition to the CSN team.

Hollandsworth
When Plesac left our shores for MLB aka Red Sox 24/7 Network he was a name I thought of. Good choice.

Nice Hollandsworth story
A few years ago, a friend of mine organized an auction to raise money for care packages for her son’s unit in Iraq. She wrote to all the major league and many of the minor league sports teams in the Midwest to see if they would be willing to donate promotional items for the auction. Todd Hollandsworth sent an autographed picture and was the only member of the Cubs to respond. I don’t know if anyone bid on it, but it was a very thoughtful gesture on his part. I always liked him as a player—he may not have been great, but he seemed to know how to play the game—so it was nice to see he’s a good guy as well.
BTW, I’m not criticizing the players who didn’t respond, because I’m sure they get requests like that all the time and can’t fulfill every single one.

I liked
Todd when CSN had him on a few times last year. He will be a nice addition to the pre and post game shows.

i won't ever forget the 2004 catch he did
running head on into that outfield wall … and then after laying there a second, scratching that big head of hair .. that was gutsy play there
