For a number of years, in the mid to late 80s — the Yakult Swallows trained in Yuma. They would take over the Padres old home just as they left for the season.

Interesting.
It says that team would play 13-15 Cactus League games. Those would probably draw decent crowds, for curiosity if nothing else.
