Bankruptcy Judge Approves Sale Of Cubs

As this monumentally long process creaks to conclusion, today a federal bankruptcy judge gave Tribune Co. the go-ahead to sell the Cubs to the Ricketts family.

This was no surprise; we await the next step, and perhaps the conclusion of this deal by the end of the month or early next month.

This is GOOD NEWS!!!

(I think…)

It will be very interesting to see what moves the new ownership will be making on short, medium and long term issues. At least, the Cubs organization will soon be relieved of a lot of uncertainty.

Well, I never heard it before, but it sounds uncommon nonsense.

WooHoo!

A new era for Cubs baseball. Let’s hope it’s a magical one.

Is there anything

left? Perhaps a dispensation from the Vatican or approval from the British Royal family? Oh, by the way the Queen wants both Aarons traded.

The Queen wants us to sign Heilman and then trade him ?

I think she has been drinking too much tea.

Somebody's buying the Cubs?

I did not know that. I wonder if he’ll try to trade for Brian Roberts, and Jake Peavey?

I can’t even begin to comprehend all these steps involved to complete this monumental transaction.
