Too bad they didn't add the White Sox's short-shorts uni.

LOL
That Astros from the 70’s was the first that came to my mind before even seeing that. Forgot about that Pirate’s 1973-what were they thinking with that cap?

Well, Life got it wrong...
5 different teams wore that cap in 1976 to celebrate the NL’s 100 yr anniversary…..the Pirates just stuck with it. I happen to like it (though the gold one is better), and the Stargell stars are just cool.
I’d much rather make a case for those ugly early Padre uni’s or the “blood clot” Indians combination.

Kind of lame..
they left out some truly ugly ones. And if you’re going to rail against the light blues, how do you leave out the Cubs light blues w./ pinstripes?

I don't know...
I always liked that style. In fact, I own a game used one (George Riley’s 1979 jersey – renumbered with his Spring Training number in 1980)

Hated Those Uniforms
By far, those road uniforms from 1978-1981 were the ugliest the Cubs have had that anyone alive can remember. Those are uniforms we wish we would forget.

Nothing can be worse than the Broncos Uni’s from last week!

You know, I always thought the Padres
were the first major league team to go Mustard and Brown. Never realized it was the Broncos until those unis were revealed prior to the season.
Of course, there were people who didn’t consider the AFL to be a ‘major league’ then.
I have a feeling I’m the only person who liked those old Steelers uniforms with the yellow helmets.

They burned the socks (in 1962) to celebrate their not using those uniforms anymore.
I still wish they had used the “Orange Crush” uniforms last week. At least those were pretty.

I think the guy obviously had a problem with blue road jerseys that...
…were prevalent in the 70’s and 80’s. I think the Expos’ uni is underrated (especially the design of the “M”) and I’m not sure the problem he has with the Phillie’s road blue. The Mets pinstripe isn’t horrible, either——they didn’t really mess up their unis until they incorporated black. I could probably list 5 black alts from the past few years that look worse than some on his list (Blue Jays, Athletics, Mets, Royals, and the Rockies…there I did it).
I think my list would be:
1. Houston Astros….a shame really, because their road uni’s with the streaking star across the top might be one of my all time faves.
2. Early Padres…..just a bad color combination. And the all mustard roads were horrible.
3. Cleveland Indians all red in the 70’s…..as one announcer put it, “Boog Powel looks like a giant blood clot ready to burst”.
4. Current Blue Jays….simply because they’ve taken away that beautiful simple blue jay design and replaced it with a slick, ugly design.
5. White Sox…both the old time design (w/ the shorts) and the “Jetsons” design with “Sox” across the chest (Baines-era). They should have stuck with the late 60’s baby blue look, that was classic.
6. Any team that wears black alts when black isn’t a color they’re associated with.
7. All orange Orioles uni’s that they wore for a few games in the 70’s. Same with the Phillies in their all burgundies.
And, for the record, I liked the Pirates “bumble bee” look and crazy combinations. So what do I know? (shrug)

I’ll pass on that, thanks.

I always like the A's uniforms
I don’t understand why they are included in the ‘worst’ category. Charlie Finley was the first owner to add some color to a baseball uniform. Unfortunately, other teams took the concept, ran with it, and created a generation of bad unis.
I remember the first time I saw the vested green-and-gold A’s in the late 60s’ on the South Side — probably 67, or 68. We didn’t have a color TV yet . (Finally, in 1969)
It was a Sunday DH, the A’s wore the vested grey uni with the green and gold trim — then came out in game 2 in the vested green and gold. It seemed pretty cool to a 12 year old at the time.

What about some of the current Padre horrid camouflage uniform ?
They wear it a couple of times a season as some kind of military tribute. If I was a member of the military I would be embarrassed. They look absurd.

Maybe they wear the camouflage because they figure
if the fans can’t see them, they won’t realize how much they suck.

Understand the Sentiment
I didn’t want to bash the Padres for using those uniforms to celebrate the military, but I’ve got to admit that those camouflage uniforms do look ugly. There’s got to be another way wardrobe wise for the Padres to show support for the armed forces. It’s not breaking out the old brown and yellow fecal matter.

Yeah, it's bad
But to say anything bad about that uniform it in this military town is to label oneself a member of the Taliban.

My list...
1. The Pirates’ Ronald McDonald jerseys
2. The Padres’ entire collection
3. The Rockies’ black vests on black sleeves
4. The Braves’ navy jerseys
Oh, and I will make a true confession — right here on BCB…
I really liked the ‘Stros’ rainbow collection.

At least with the red jerseys, you can see the numbers.
Also, they only wear red for Sunday home games; they’ve been wearing the navy ones a lot.

… if they were white, not black.
I agree with you on the navy ones, too.

Like the Other Braves Jerseys
I was so happy when the Braves went to the Milwaukee-era style uniforms. It might have been only a couple of years after that the change that the Braves starting winning division titles on annual basis. The Mississippi Braves caps look virtually identical to the ones the Milwaukee Braves had with the “M” and the tomahawk on the front.
