Rudy Jaramillo and Milton Bradley
If the Cubs do bring in Jaramillo, does that mean Bradley stays? What do you guys think?

I think most of the bridges have been burned by now. Bradley’s situation is about as unfixable as it comes.
Bruce Miles answers
Despite a relationship in Texas with embattled Milton Bradley, hiring Jaramillo does not appear to be an attempt to mend fences with the Cubs right fielder for 2010.
Hendry remains intent on trading Bradley, who has two years and $21 million left on the three-year, $30 million contract Hendry gave him last winter.
Two or three teams may be interested in Bradley, but a trade does not appear imminent.

If Miltie is not traded
Jaramillo may end up being the biggest move of the offseason – not because he’ll be coaching Miltie but because until Miltie is moved (or released) I don’t see them making any other moves – I also fear Miltie’s destination speculation will end up challenging last offseason’s Jake PV (or the previous year’s B Rob) posts as the most words wasted on something that never came to pass

come on, what difference could this possibly make
Okay, just so I understand it... in your wildest fantasy, you are in hell. And you are co-running a bed and breakfast with the devil.
i think
the cubs would bring sammy back before you ever see bradley play right field again.

I could barely handle a Sosa sighting at Wrigley, but definitely not a Bradley. The dude is done. The site has been nuked. We’re sure. He’s gone.

This is dumb.
The Cubs aren’t going to sign a hitting coach to make their disgruntled RF-er (who happened to throw the team, city, fans, and organization under the bus) happy. Come on.
Bradley is done in Chicago.
I may be the only one...
who still thinks Bradley might get a second run.
I don’t think hiring Jaramillo would ever be based on his relationship with one player; the Cubs are pursuing him because he is among the game’s elite. If, however, Jaramillo comes in, vouches for Bradley and wants an opportunity to work with him, then I think it is feasible the Cubs would give him another chance if trading opportunities are limited.
How does Jaramillo...
…vouche for what the Cub’s experienced with Bradley in 09?
The answer is, he can’t, and he is going to be gone if they have to eat all of his salary to do it.

He was inspired by the Josh Hamilton story. Have I mentioned that the Cubs could have had Josh Hamilton?

No I was just looking for an excuse to bring up Josh Hamilton's Rule Ving.
The real reason Bradley played so well was the brisket. If you’ve ever eaten slow-smoked Texas brisket, there wouldn’t be a question in your mind.

Apparently "Famous Daves" just doesn't cut it for Milton.

If only we had traded for those guys,
then we wouldn’t have given away Hamilton for a saggy bag of cash; and then we could have traded Hamilton for Edinson Vazquez, and saved his arm from Dustification. If only.

We also could have had Dontrelle Willis!!

Jaramillo can vouch all he wants
There were too many players publicly bashing MB for him to come back. He doesn’t have the ego or humility to allow for him to try and talk things out with his Cubs teammates.
I have no problem believing that they'll simply eat Bradley's contract if they have to
It seems as if Hendry is dead set on getting rid of Bradley. I can’t blame him for looking for favorable deals first. Who wouldn’t?
