Just wont bet the same as last year.
When I was watching the Aguilas Tigres to see Sam Fuld play. For those of you who think I am obsessed with Fuld
check this out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqKtj1yxuxI
This young lady will be devastated to find out that not only did Sam get married he is not coming back to Venezuela.

Actually I was glad I found someone much crazier than me.
I was actually looking for Sam’s attempt to speak Spanish clip on youtube when I stumbled on the other devoted fan.

I went to France when I was 11 and a host served rabbit
I felt I had to be polite and eats some but I had horrid visions of Bugs Bunny and I did not like the taste.

just like chicken, really
Only a little more slimy.
I am sorry, but doesn’t this scare you just a little bit?
I don’t know what to say. Guys go to strip clubs, but that does not seem as weird as this, but I admit that I am a guy (but my wife understands the occasional strip club thing).

Field Rats: Tough, stringly and taste like chicken

Well, I never heard it before, but it sounds uncommon nonsense.

The Shark and Starlin
Samardzija and Starlin Castro are looking good. I know that Cashner’s got a 13.50 ERA, but that will improve. I see the guy starting or relieving (like Berg and Caridad) by the end of the 2010 season. As for The Shark, the Cubs need to pick either starting or relieving for him and just leave him be. All of the going back and forth needs to stop.

Glad I read ahead
I was going to respond to the original fanpost with a question as to whether Samardzija is starting or relieving. I would prefer they leave him in the pen. He is a two pitch pitcher.

Parker
I like Blake Parker. He’s an under the radar guy that could be a big league set-up man someday.

Aramis Ramirez and Esmalin Caridad...
…appear on the 2009 Tigres del Licey roster. Also, according to a post on Harry Pavlidis’ blog, Alfonso Soriano will be playing Dominican Winter Ball, though I’m not sure for which team or to what extent.

Correct,
However I’m not sure if those roster are accurate. I didn’t post the D.R. League roster yet because it looks like they have guys listed that aren’t actually there.

I certainly hope
ARam isn’t playing winter ball.
Rest that shoulder, big guy, we need you.

If you look at the rosters of all the Caribbean league teams
A lot more Cubs and Cubs farm hands appear. However, they haven’t played yet for their teams, and they haven’t been assigned numbers. If you’ve ever looked at a college baseball roster, not being assigned a number means you’re gonna get as many times on the field as the bench coach.

heilman started for the licey tigers a couple winters ago
and did quite well. if aaron has any interest at all in starting next year (which i believe he does), he should be back down in the DR again this year stretching his arm out…
by brian custer on Oct 19, 2009 2:32 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
I agree.
I still say if Heilman wants to kickstart his career, he should market himself as a bottom-of-the-rotation starter. There’s got to be some smaller market teams looking to fill out there rotations who’d give him a shot, no?

yes
i would say it is only about 50-50 whether aaron comes back to the cubs, where he has little chance of starting. a pitching-starved, small market team would be a great fit for aaron…
