2003 Playoffs

Hi,

I'm very new to this forum and online forums in general, so hopefully this is the correct place to post this.....

Does anyone have or know where I can buy DVDs of the Cubs' 2003 playoff games?  My brother and I are big Cubs fans and I am hoping to get these for my brother, who is a collector of all things Cubs.  If anyone has any info about this, please let me know...   Thanks a lot!

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of SB Nation or Al Yellon, managing editor (unless it's a FanPost posted by Al). FanPost opinions are valued expressions of opinion by passionate and knowledgeable baseball fans.

No lead on the DVDs, but I'd skip the NLCS games 6 & 7 if I were you...

Unless you like a lot of heartache (and heartburn)…

I purchased game 6 off eBay.

I’ve watched it a grand total of 2 times in 6 years. It’s fun to watch the game before the bartman incident, the atmosphere around and in Wrigley is crazy.

How much did you pay for that?

Whatever it was, maybe they would have given you a discount if you only bought the first seven innings.

Yeah it's tough.

But at the same time, a part of me finds it hopeful. We CAN get that close again and with a bit of luck we will get to the promise land.

Amen

Well, I never heard it before, but it sounds uncommon nonsense.

and how just can you be so sure

or are you the eternal optimist?

Just win the next game...!

If only Thom Brennaman hadn't called that game.

It’s bad enough having to relive it, but hearing him call the action is just brutal.

“Again to repeat, Prior’s gotten the best of him tonight. HAMMERED DOWN THE LEFT FIELD LINE AND THE GAME WILL BE TIED UP! Scoring is Castillo, scoring is Rodríguez, it’s a 3–3 game as the frustration ends for Derrek Lee!”

FOR ME THAT

Was very hard also . It was depressing enough then to know how he must have felt !! Looking back upon disaster and how it should have been differant ……

i'll never forget

I think the worst part about watching that 8-run inning unfold was listening to the Marlins dugout (and the two Marlins fans in the crowd) explode with joy as the runs scored while simultaneously listening to the entire Wrigley attendance deflate.
I just can’t imagine how bad Bartman must have felt. I can only imagine how bad and helpless I would feel to have that unwanted feeling from a capacity crowd. It would be like that scene from Harriet the Spy:

Jack Brickhouse: "Hey! Hey!"
Harry Caray: "Holy Cow!"
Vince Lloyd: "The Chicago Cubs are on the Air!"
Len Casper: "Oh Baby!"
Bob Brenly: "Give it to a Kid!"
Ron Santo: "YES!", "All Right!, let's do it!", "Oh No!", "Oh jeez come on!" AND...
"This Is The Year!"

I WOULD LIKE TO

Forget game 6 and 7 ..I think many other Cubs fans feel the same …..Gotta think that some day the club will get this close again . So many mistakes I still think Dusty should have got Prior . The result turned into disaster !!!

postalcubbie.com

http://postalcubbie.com/_wsn/page2.html copy and paste that to your address bar. I haven’t bought anything from that website so I couldn’t give you a valid review over it. There’s also several other GOOD Cubs games in that mix as well. Good luck and glad I could help.

Where to find 2003 playoff videos??

You mean like this one?
