Me either....

but, I imagine they could do worse than bringing in a guy who has spent a number of years in the Red Sox organization.

I think it’s a bit of a risk, but given their lack of success over the last few years, it’s evidentially a risk worth taking.

Mills

He’s been on the interview lists for the last year or two. He’s talked to a team or two in the past.

Mills is also a footnote in ML history.

On April 27, 1983, Nolan Ryan struck him out. It was the 3509th K of Ryan’s career, breaking the then-record of 3508 that had been held by Walter Johnson since 1927.

very nice pickup but

everything in houston revolves around whether or not Drayton will let his baseball people do their jobs. If he intervenes or limits them, then there’s very little they can do. The system has some life with an intriguing arm in Jordan Lyles and an intriguing catcher in Jason Castro. They are a bit limited in money, so how much rope does Mills have?

That said, he’s been well-regarded for awhile. While I liked Acta, Mills might be just as good a pickup overall.
