Interesting little story about baseballs.
I thought so anyway ;) Something I had never given any thought to before.

I've read this story before...
and what I don’t get is why this guy doesn’t charge more?!?
He has supposedly the only source of this magical mystery mud, and is the only one who knows where it comes from. Yet he sells it for like $3 a bucket (or something like that, I can’t remember the exact figure). MLB is swimming in cash, dude needs to charge enough to make his living off it at least.
Dirt + Water = Mud
He keeps it low so that MLB is willing to buy into the tradition. I’m sure they could send a batboy and a shovel out to find some.
Also, he says each team gets two 32 oz. cans. $20,000 for 60 32 oz. cans is a pretty good haul.

About two bucks an ounce. 33 bucks for a 16 oz container.

I think I speak for everyone here when I say, "Wait, what the hell are you talking about?"
With the video in that story...
… I’ll bet an enterprising person could find that location.

This seems like the PERFECT job for "Pigpen" from the old PEANUTS comic strip...
He could come back covered in mud and no one would think anything of it…
Now only 12,859 on the "Cubs Season Tickets Waiting List"...
Looks like he already may have that job.
