OT: Favre has now beaten everybody!
"With the Vikings’ win over the Packers, Brett Favre became the first player in N.F.L. history to beat all 32 teams in his career."
This little factoid reminds me of a similar bit of trivia in baseball which I'll get to in the comments.

Reading that about Favre reminds me of something similar in baseball
Back in the day before the last two rounds of expansion, i.e. before Colorado, Arizona, Tampa and Florida, I remember reading about a very short list of pitchers who had managed to get a “W” against all ML teams. Only problem is, I can’t remember the whole list. There were at least four and I want to say there were six total. I think it was in the news because somebody (#6) had just joined that rather exclusive club.
Remember, this was before interleague play, so the pitcher would have to had been on at least two teams in each league. And I’m pretty sure this was after the Mets, Astros, Angels, Expos joined the league so the timeframe is roughly 1960s – 1992.
Two of them are real easy – Gaylord Perry and Nolan Ryan. Right now, I can only remember one other one for sure – maybe a fourth – but I don’t want to spoil your fun in trying to figure this out so I won’t post any more for now.

Randy Johnson is one other...
… he beat the Diamondbacks this year for the first time.

Yep, and I guess he had more teams to beat as well
He wasn’t part of the trivia answer back when I first heard it, so maybe that means there are at least seven now.

Weren't the Cubs
the only team Sosa hadn’t homered against until he hit his 500th with the Rangers? Paging Shawngoldman…

You don't need Shawn for that.
The answer is yes.

I'm getting somewhat OT...
perhaps a better question for Shawn would be: how many others (and who) have accomplished this? Maybe it’s more common than I know….?
Anyway, I guess I’d like Favre a lot better had he been a Bear at some point. Not downgrading anything he’s done, it’s just hard to like a guy who’s had so much fun beating your team his entire career! lol

Favre can suck it.
But I sure like a winning Vikings team.

i sure don't
i felt horrid rooting for the packers, absolutely horrid. go bears.
It's not about money. It's about winning and getting over the hump. We've had the appetizer now, but we left the main course on the table.
