iPhone At Bat users get free live streaming of postseason
Now maybe this is not new to anyone else, but I just discovered it and think it's pretty awesome. The $10 app that I purchased at the beginning of the season is the gift that keeps giving.
First it was free audio (home and away). Second it was the in game highlights. Next it was the ability to watch games live. Well they have officially outdone themselves now, giving users (for no additional cost) live video streaming from postseason games from a number of different angles (behind pitcher, behind homeplate, home dugout, away dugout, or my favorite the split quad screen).
Maybe this is some sort of glitch, but I doubt it. How do MLB.tv users feel about this?

I'd definitely get it but...
You need wifi to use it.

prefer the regular broadcast...
but I’ll happily take what they’re giving me since I’m at the office and my mlb.tv account doesn’t cover the postseason. thankfully my cheaper version is coming through! Who would have thought that MLB would actually let people access their product!

That's what I'm saying.
How is the MLB letting this go?!

I'm able to access the postseason feeds on my computer
using on my mlb.tv account that I purchased at the beginning of spring training.

my bad...
when I pulled up mlb.tv, it went to an ad to buy the postseason package. I didn’t try logging in. I think that I assumed that you had to pay extra for that. I guess it pays to click past that page. Thanks for the correction.

This remains the best thing MLB has ever done
Just say no to players named Aaron on the Cubs.

I actually think MLB has been pretty innovative.
The biggest issue is still the blackouts.
I love that you can purchase a package to watch all of the games on the internet. While blackouts are an issue depending on your location, other leagues like the NFL only allow you to purchase a package if you have satelite tv. That limits their customer range as most people don’t have satelite tv. I think that’s a bigger negative than MLB’s blackout issues.
MLB At Bat is a great idea and I have enjoyed watching games anywhere that offers wifi (I have an ipod.) I’m definitly curious to see what the cost will be next season.

Next year
they are bound to raise the price. For 09, it was one of the best $10 investments I’ve made.

One of the best?
Is there another app that is close to the same level?!

This has made studying hard
I dont know how this is happening, but I feel like its a glitch cause this is too awesome. This is the best sports app by far and I wish the NFL would take notice.

My guess...
… they are luring us all in with how well it works, how nice it is, how we HAVE to have access to this stuff on the CTA, whatever else…
… so that we legit consider it again next season, when it’s $49.99 or something.

$49.99?
While that would be a huge jump, I probably would do it. You may be right about them acting like a drug dealer (first time is free) and if that’s the case, consider me hooked.
