! STINKING STOLEN BASE WITH HIS SPEED??

baseball is a game of outs......pop out, ground out, line out, pitch out, strike out, fly out, and Fox and Bud's favorite black out

I said

.260/.320/.410. It’s hard to get too much closer.

The speed doesn’t mean a thing if the manager won’t green light you.

Since you seem to be taking the lead on this, Tim...

…how ’bout helping Al make good on his offer:

Tell you what. I’ll offer a prize for this contest, if someone is willing to tally up all the responses and let me know at the end of the season who the winner is.

Here are my guesses:

BA: .255
HR: 8
OBP: .330
RBI: 25
SB: 20

I was actually pretty close, except for the stolen bases.

OK, I'll make good on that.

As long as someone here will determine what “close” means and who the winner should be.

Meh
BA: .265
OBP: .325
HR: 15
RBI: 60
SB: 20

BA and OBP looks pretty smart until you account for a power outage and losing the green light to steal. 60 rbi? what was I thinking?

if this was still new to me, i wouldn't understand

by N Oakley on Oct 9, 2009 2:46 PM CDT reply actions

I was at

Avg .268
OBP .314
SLG .405
HR 11
RBI 49
SB 17

Just so you can see I’m not suggesting rules that would favor me winning. If someone does want to tally, perhaps the first cut could be, was anyone within 20 points of Avg, 20 points of OBP, 20 points of SLG, 5 HR +/-, 10 RBI, and 10 SB?
