Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

I just realized Dome visited Okinawa yesterday, and I believe it's first time since he joined Dragons spring training in 2007. He teached kids with Kenshin Kawakami (Braves, Dragons), Junichi Tazawa (Redsox), Denny Tomori (Redsox, Dragons - an Okinawan native) and other players. Click link to see its news footage.

Very cool stuff...

… and completely understandable despite me knowing almost no Japanese. The language of baseball is universal.

It looked like everyone was having a great time.

Glad to see the players giving back to the community.

and the weird part is...

if you copy/paste all of that (which for me is just a bunch of squares with 2 two digit numbers in them) into google translator and go from Japanese to English you get:

And our very close friend Thank you for sharing. Greetings

So Chilango is really Fukudome?

"If I were playing third base and my mother were rounding third with the run that was going to beat us, I'd trip her. Oh, I'd pick her up and brush her off and say, 'Sorry, Mom,' but nobody beats me." ~ Leo Durocher

The Japanese part reads

“Thank you for sharing very much of us and close friend”.

So most of you folks are shared so far! ;-)

Thank you

Baseball is universal. Cool to watch even though I understood maybe one percent of the words.

Kosuke’s professionalism is always impressive. Those kids look excited to play, too!
